We loved this little spot on the coast! It was a good base of operations to be able to get to Acadia and Bar Harbor without having to stay in the very crowded/touristy areas. Due to its remoteness, it took a little planning ahead for things like Groceries, but this was a classic Maine camp experience. It reminded me a lot of going to visit my Grandmother's house as a kid. It has everything you would need for a cozy/comfortable time away, but is definitely a very authentic camp experience. Don't expect big plush king beds, wifi (we had no problem getting service/data at the camp), or a bunch of trendy restaurants or shops close by.
The location and view is absolutely incredible. It was lovely to nap in the rain, or to go bird watching early in the morning. We watched eagles, osprey, and cormorants fishing, as well as tons of other birds (chickadees, flickers, blue jays, kingfishers, goldfinches, hummingbirds, etc.). I would happily stay here again. Despite it being brand new to us, it felt incredibly nostalgic and it will hit the spot for those looking for an authentically and unapologetically 'Maine' experience.
