Jake’s Place offers an inviting floor plan with an open living area, spacious kitchen, two private bedrooms with queen beds, queen sleeper sofa along with a twin bed all located in the heart of Steinhatchee.

We are located 2 blocks off of our main street (1St Avenue) which helps to provide less distractions during our busy season (SCALLOP SEASON. Taylor County, FL runs from JUNE15th-Mid September each year, A FISHING LICENSE IS REQUIRED) in addition we offer ample parking for our guests vehicles, boat and trailer. No scallop cleaning or shells are to be left on property or in our garbage cans.
Steinhatchee is a golf cart friendly community (local/state law requires age restrictions of drivers to be of legal age/licensed drivers and insurance coverage) Golf carts are available for rent during your stay via local businesses here in Steinhatchee.

Local restaurants offer a great variety of dining options with many offering live entertainment during our busy season all in close proximity along with lunch and dinner service along many of the river front establishments.
Several locally owned marinas along with our County public boat ramp are located only minutes away making easy access to the Gulf of Mexico via the Steinhatchee River. Marinas and private vendors offer scallop and fish cleaning services throughout Steinhatchee all season.
Kayak and boat rentals are available at many of our marinas along with Steinhatchee Falls, Keaton Beach and Hagens Cove State Park (located directly on the gulf) along with other activities or simply kick back and relax.
***Fiddlers Festival each year held in February put together by our local Chamber of Commerce and Projects Board with the help of many of our local volunteers and businesses alike which draws in a huge crowd!
***Jogging For Jugs, Inc., our local non profit provides assistance to our local cancer patients while under treatment.

***Charter Fishing year round. Hire one of our local knowledgeable Charter Captains for a day (or more) of fishing and/or scalloping trips along with many of our Captains providing River Cruises. During our busy season be sure and make reservations as soon as possible as the Captains book up quickly.
***Boat launching: many of our local marinas provide boat lifts along with our county having a public boat ramp (fees apply) within minutes of Jake’s Place.
***Boat Rentals are available at all of the marinas (recommended to book them early during our busy season).
***JULY 4th is always a big celebration here in Steinhatchee. Fireworks over the river at dusk and many other activities, right in the middle of scallop season!
