"The folks who work at this hotel are always friendly and courteous (I've stayed there several times). The building is a bit old, but the bed is comfortable, the shower is warm and has good water pressure, and the heater works well. The microwave and mid-size fridge on the room are a nice bonus. "Loved living history for 2 nights in the Shoe House! We were a group of 5 friends for a high school reunion. The property is well maintained and enjoyed all the historical mid century touches. The current owners did a great job honoring the original decor and intent of the property. In the basement, there was a mini museum and gift shop about the history of the house. We got a kick out of a few tourists stopping to take pictures. The place has it's own official historical landmark sign out...
