Great One Bedroom Condo Steps From the Gondola

The location of this condo can't be beat. Directly across the street from the base area and gondola and perched atop a hillside, this one-bedroom condo provides spectacular views of Emerald Mountain and the Yampa Valley. With only a 220-yard walk to the slopes, mountain area restaurants, shops, and free city bus, you'll never be at a loss for things to do.

This condo is the perfect mountain retreat for a couple or small family. Rustic mountain charm combined with modern upgrades, including a newly tiled hearth, updated kitchen cabinets, slate tile counters, new appliances, and a fully remodeled European-style bathroom put you at ease from the moment you walk through the door. The open living space and large sliding glass doors that lead to your private patio and bathe the condo in natural light make the space feel larger than it is.

The living room has a large sofa and matching armchair where you can kick back and watch the game on the 55" flat-screen TV or enjoy the warm glow of the gas fireplace as you watch the sunset or the snowfall. The grey tiled gas fireplace is a focal point of the room while the wooden dining table can seat four, with another three at the breakfast bar. The bedroom has a king bed, a large dresser, and a flat-screen TV. The pull-out sofa in the living room provides additional sleeping space for 2 people. The newly remodeled bathroom has a wide counter/sink and a European shower.

In winter there is a heated pool and two hot tubs. During summer, enjoy scenic views from the pool and outdoor grill area. Steps from the condo is the base of the Steamboat Ski Area, where you can cool your feet in the mountain stream that flows through the base area development.

One of the best locations in Steamboat with a heated seasonal outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs. Close to everything.

Nice quiet stay in a beautiful area
I was very comfortable and enjoyed the quiet and serene location. Check in/out was a little different than I’m used to because it’s at a different location than the rental, but it wasn’t hard to figure out and there was great communication from Retreatia.

Very nice condo newly remodeled perfect for 2 but could accommodate 4.
Nicely appointed easy access, well organized and very clean! Only issue was our humidifier was not working and the management is replacing it. We loved our stay and seeing the color change of the leaves!!

The pictures for this condo are not accurate and the listing should be removed. There is MAJOR construction going on just outside the patio door with earth moving equipment racing through and dust everywhere as they are building a hotel. Lucky for us we were given another property for our stay. I am used to summer construction and related noises in the summer but this was over the top

Overall, had a great stay. Nice little condo with easy access to the ski area as well as downtown and surrounding amenities. One item of note for other potential guests--the listing remarks that this is 'construction season.' To me, this means road work, etc. while the weather is nice. The reality is that a new set of residences is going up next door, and the construction access road is 50' from this unit's patio, so heavy machinery is going by all day beginning between 6am and 7am. It wasn't bad with the windows closed, but know that this will likely be another 18 months of heavy construction traffic, excavation and building.

Our stay was great
We really enjoyed this property. The property manager we met with was super accommodating (Lori?). We arrived early, and she kept us updated on the cleaning and allowed us to check in a couple of hours early when it was finished. The property is very nice. The only issue we had was with the excavation going on next to our unit. But that is definitely not something that could be controlled by Retreatia. We understand. We would highly recommend it.

The condo was the perfect size for two of us. Everything was as advertised, in perfect condition, clean and neat. Very comfortable place to hang out before / after the activities. The corner unit was full of light with a good view. Would definitely come back!

Hard to beat this place.
Amazing location, amazing space, great amenities. The only drawback was the check in process. I don't think it was communicated that check-in is done off-site. It would be great to install a key pad or lock box. It would help with ease of coordination of transportation. There are additional docs to sign up on check-in that could be digital. But the space is fantastic. I'll look into rebooking if available and when I return to Steamboat.

Nice place, horrible bed and couch
Overall a great location, nice view, process with Retreatia was smooth. Unfortunately, the bed was painful. I suspect the mattress is shot and putting a 4" foam topper on it made it worse. The couch looked fairly new, but was very uncomfortable, much too shallow for a 6-footer with over stuffed back cushions that made it feel like the couch wanted me out of it rather than comfortably in. Otherwise the place was clean and updated and worked well for us. As I clicked to review this place, I noted the photo shows a different (older?) couch that looks much more comfortable than the one that's there now.
