"Il Sentiero was a wonderful surprise. It is a very serene and picturesque agriturismo with tons of olive and lemon trees. Owner/operator Salvo is a very hospitable and lovely person. We chose to eat there each evening, and he never failed to provide us with tasty meals. We highly recommend this place for visitors to the Catania area. It is located about 40 minutes north of the airport, close to an autostrada exit, and is convenient for visiting places such as Mt. Etna, Taormina, and Messina."

"Nicola, Andreas and the team were fantastic in their customer service offering a lot of personalised touches. The owner Claudio(?) also went above and beyond in helping me to get around. The place has great facilities, very picturesque, with swimming pool and lemon trees all over. "It is a wonderful place, in the middle of a garden with olive trees, apple trees and chestnut trees. From our room we could see both the coast and the sea of Riposto and Giarre and from the other side the volcano. Breakfast was very tasty with locale goods, some directly made on spot. Se had the chance to have a dinner and I regret I was not able to try all the dishes of the menu. Staff is very helpful and discrete. An amazing stay! "

"Great staff and facilities the room was spacious and modern, the grounds are meticulously maintained the breakfast choices were broad whether it was a hot or cold breakfast and very thing in between and you could either eat outside next to the pool or inside. In conclusion I would rate it as probably the best place that we have stayed in to date."

"Our family of four loved staying here. Maurizio and his staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The home cooked traditional meals were delicious, our rooms were immaculate, the views were amazing and we really enjoyed the peace and tranquility. The large, clean pool was fabulous after active days visiting the Etna region. We went out in the local town for dinner once and can really recommend it. Thank you!"

"A wonderful property in such a beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful, surrounded by vineyards with views of Mount Etna and the village of Castiglione perched on a hillside. We loved having access to the swimming pool, the rooms are a good size and the food and wine was excellent. Massimo is a superb host and is exceptionally welcoming and very friendly, providing good local information. "We only booked this hotel for 1 night and wished we could have stayed longer. It is in a gorgeous vineyard and is a great place for families and couples- there is a beautiful pool but what stands out besides a great Room with luscious sheets and views looking at amy Etna is the hospitality of the staff. We had a delicious dinner which was outstanding."

"We were traveling through Sicily and decided to stay at the Valle Galfina for only one night while exploring the Mt Etna area. It was tricky to locate the property due to limited signage but things began well with a welcome and glass of wine. "A real agriturismo, with 1000 olive trees and 2000 orange trees. It's a well kept place, well maintained garden, a big swimming pool. Host speaks very good English. Everyone is very nice and heplfull in every way you need. We stayed here for two nights and used it as a base to visit Etna, Siracuza and of course also Gryfindor pub, which is just 20 minutes ahead. "This at best should be called bed&breakfast because they don't produce much of anything except a few pumpcans and few tomatoes breakfast is very poor and owners not too warm with patrons i would not recoment this place "

"Amazing hotel. Lives up to the reviews we researched before our stay. The staff are very helpful and the food is very tasty if you choose to eat at the hotel in the evening. A few things to be aware of: 1) it’s not close to lots of other bars and restaurants so expect to drive or take taxis to get about to the main towns 2) the two restaurants near the hotel were both enjoyable food but I would be careful of the bill - we were overcharged both times. 3) make sure you ask the cost of the taxi...

"I loved this property. It was in a very beautiful location. It's not a very convenient location for walking, you need to take the taxi to get the station station and bus stop was not easy to find. The main area Piazza IX Aprile and shopping area is about 15-20min walk. Isola Bella is really far but doable about 30min walk. The hotel staff was really wonderful and helpful. Lufthansa lost our bag and we didn't get it back until the 3rd day. The staff did everything with calling the delivery guy and airport to see what they can do with speeding up process. The breakfast was delicious. Btw this was there last week before they close for the season November 8-15. "

Unforgettable Honeymoon

"The hotel was beautiful, clean, and in a great location. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and gave us great recommendations. It was our honeymoon and they upgraded our suite, the room was immaculate and the view was stunning. Giuseppe at the front desk was awesome. The food was delicious. The weather was rainy but we still had an amazing time. 10/10 honeymoon."

"The staff were wonderful. Check in and out was quick and easy. We had maintenance people come quickly for a problem with our refrigerator and toilet. The breakfast was outstanding. The lobby is beautiful. The property is a bit aged and needs some updating. "
