The price was decent for the area. However the customer service was terrible, and having a cold shower in the morning was not my idea of a wake up call. Overall I will NEVER stay here again. Ballys is the worst casino hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

Our shower did not get hot and the light in the shower area did not work. There was someone else’s dental floss pick left on the floor in our room. There was a bucket in one of the hallways catching water from the roof and one of the garage elevators wasn’t working. Our key card did not let us out of the garage area. The pool area was a plus as it was heated and the hot tub was nice.

I booked a room with a Lake view however, I received a room with a tiny glimpse of the lake. It was nearly impossible to get a hold of the live person on the telephone for anything. There was no room service. The pillows were miniature size. And the staff was absolutely clueless and careless. I would not stay at this property again.

No hot water in the fifth floor. Front desk said to run it for 30 minutes.. after 45 still nothing. Hotel security pounded on our door at 1:30 in the morning and attempted to open my sons door across the way ,that I had also reserved, bc they didn’t know what rooms were occupied and their system was down. Called front desk to verify why they tried to get in our rooms.. they said sorry we are trying to find out what rooms don’t have guests in them so we can check guests in.. overall it was a terrible experience and kind of scary. What if I was just downstairs gambling and hadn’t went to my room yet? Would they have rented out to someone else or would someone else have access to my room that I already paid for? The whole thing was sketchy. We were offered nothing for our troubled stay and I just checked my bank and they have FOUR different holds for “incidentals” on my card.. for two rooms.. Do better. And fix that roof leak it’s tacky.

The gaming areas have a buzz. There was a show and a disco available which makes for a good evening offering. The bedrooms were disappointing. The quality of the linens were poor and creased. The quilt was thin and uneven. We were cold in the room. Only coffee was available a tea bag could not be provided by reception or the bars. The cafe had run out of a number of items. The cafe, restaurants, sports bar and gaming area were very cold. People were wearing ski gear and woolly hats!

Very disappointing that you have to pay for parking at a hotel that you are staying at.one would think that guest would have parking validated.. tahoe in general has gone downhill in the last 20 years as corporations have squeezed every buck out of tourists making tourism less desirable for the middle class..

Was a short walk to the gondola, and reasonable priced meals in the restaurant. But they gave our room to someone else and had no clue, after a 9.5 hour trip to get there they checked us in and when we went to the room someone else was already in it. They got us another one, but it was 8 floors below the one that I reserved so it had no balcony or view of the lake. Also the hot water only worked when it wanted to. When I called the front desk she said to "turn the water to hot in the sink and shower for about 10 -20 minutes and it will get better". It did heat up 2 nights out of 4, but a waist of water.
