The property was in a quiet country setting. But the cabin itself was in terrible shape. The front door was pieced together from several different wood pieces. The porch roof had holes. The bathroom was very dark. Couldn’t close the curtain of the shower because it was too dark to see. No windows in the living area. And the electrical decisions were to be questioned. Needs to put some love into it.

If you are open to quirky
For us, perfect! A convenient huge step up from tent camping with a great price point. It may not be for those who need drywall or Disney but it had what we needed for a comfortable base to explore the area. Thanks for sharing it with us. The door gave us the giggles and is almost a work of art for those who can appreciate such things. There were several thoughtful touches, although you will feel good about your own carpentry skills after staying here. Be aware that we had no cell phone service.

Mother's Day Weekend
Cool, very old cabin. We've stayed here before and enjoyed ourselves so we came back. Met the owners who were lovely people and very accommodating. Had a very nice weekend of adventuring.

Inexpensive and interesting
Being that the property is over 160 years old it is in relatively good shape but could use some safety/aesthetic improvements. If you are tall you may have an issue with hitting your head on the doorways. My husband is 5’8” and hit his head a few times. If you have mobility issues this rental may also be problematic due to the condition of the small bridge to get to the cabin. However, everything did work in the condition that it is in. Just fyi, We did have bath towels but we’re not provided washcloths or hand towels. No smoke alarm or carbon monoxide dectector that we saw. No wifi and limited phone service. Plenty of hot water and soap/shampoo and dish soap was provided.

Enjoyed it
Small ,rustic cabin perfect for 2 people. Close to all the attractions . Would definitely stay there again for the price.
Negatives- low doors,ceilings(6'1), bumped my head a few times . The beds are 2 mattresses in the loft, but they were comfortable

we stayed over one night
this is not advertised very well, you have to be able to climb into a loft to sleep. It also is not very secure, the door could have been broke into very easily. My husband slept on the couch in case someone tried to break in, as he could not climb into the loft.
