Love, love, loved the house!
Directions to the house were easy. Which door (2 had combo locks) to enter was a bit confusing, as there were 2 different codes, but a quick call to the management company resolved it. Bedrooms/baths/kitchen were very clean. Dusting/vacuuming on both levels could’ve been better. Gorgeous home & stellar view. Very private & quiet! Easy access to Stanley & Luray. We will be back!

Stunning Views, but no sleep
The Deck! Stunning, amazing views. Loved the size of the deck, the chairs, the couch, all amazing. Hot tub was clean and hot. The kitchen and family room area is nice too. The hallway bathroom smells like raw sewage and we could not get the smell to go away, so we kept that bathroom off limits. Both queen beds were extremely uncomfortable and loud. We did not sleep either nights do to the bed making noise every time you moved. The basement, where the pool table was so dirty, we didn't play pool, and that was one of the reasons we booked this home. Looked like the basement wasn't cleaned all summer. We really wanted to give this home a great review, just need to update the bed frame and mattress, clean the basement, and figure out the sewage smell.

Mountain Paradise
Group of five adults stayed here while visiting Shenendoah National Park. The view is awesome. When we were at the house we spent most of our time on the new deck, taking in the view and watching the occasional deer that meandered through the yard. Very peaceful here too, if you are looking for a place that feels far removed from the hustle and bustle. Thank you for opening this fabulous home to us. Highly recommend!

Very nice
We stayed at this home for a week in June. While it met our needs, it wasn't quite what we were expecting (some ways positive, some not so much). Pros: The remodeling was done beautifully. We especially enjoyed the new deck (updated pictures of this are needed, not accurate on the listing). Both bathrooms are nicely redone as well. The bedrooms were adequate size and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was a good size and everything worked well. TV was big (only one in cabin) and the fireplace looked nice, though we never used it. Hot tub was clean, but again we didn't use this. It was nice having the game room beneath the house, this is where the washer and drier are located. Roads getting to the home are nice and easy to navigate. The towns of Stanley and Luray are within reasonable driving distance with the basics. Overall the home was nicely decorated and in good shape. All basic amenities were provided and appreciated. Cons: it is a drive to get to anything. It's nice not being in the middle of a busy area, but it limits your choices for entertainment and food. There is next to no fast food anywhere, but there are several restaurants. The house at first appeared clean, but we had several issues with dishes and cookware being dirty, the fridge was grimy, and I filled a dustpan full of dust, dust bunnies, and dead bugs (at least they were dead) after sweeping up the whole place. The guest bathroom's shower is VERY small and tight, one of my teens refused to use it because she's claustrophobic . There is no central air, but each room has a unit which can be VERY noisy. There were constant mosquitos, which is not atypical for this time of year, but we really couldn't use the yard or explore too much because we kept running into swarms of them. We weren't able to use the game room because it had a very strong smell that made me a bit nauseous. The washer/dryer left our clothes smelling a bit funky, though I REALLY appreciate they were provided. If you have party members that get car sick easily, be sure to drive down the mountain SLOWLY as there are lots of twists and turns. I highly recommend attending a movie at the theater in Luray, the pink one. It is SO unique and fun. It's an old theater that was remodeled, each room a different theme. I also recommend checking out Luray Caverns and the car museum (free with cavern tickets). Dominico Italian Restaurant is GREAT and they give you a lot of food! Shenandoah NP - meh.

Beautiful location, clean and cozy property
My friend group and I stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect. The view was incredible, and the house was easy to find and check into. The kitchen had the essentials and enough towels for the group. The board and lawn games available were an added bonus. Hot tub was clean and warm. Would recommend!

Great view and new deck!
The view was absolutely amazing to enjoy during our trip. The expanded new deck was a wonderful addition that had just been finished prior to our stay. The house is a very cute remodeled home. We loved the exposed beams and overall size of the home for our family. The gameroom (only accessible from outside) was fun for the kids—we played pool, ping pong, and corn hole during the day we grilled outside—And had s’mores by the fire pit. Side note: Basements can have a must smell so be sure to leave the door open on a nice day to air out a bit while you’re down there. Overall, a wonderful stay!

Bedbugs
It is a great location, fabulous view, & nice enough cabin. After my daughter awoke a few days into our stay with what I believed were bedbug bites did the owner tell us he'd had an exterminator treat for bedbugs a few days before we arrived. And that it wasn't the first bedbug treatment. I hope the reason the dates are blocked for the next few months is that it has been taken off the market until it is confirmed they are gone.

Perfect Weekend Getaway
We were a group of 7 adults in mid-winter. A lovely living room, kitchen, and dining area really gave us a perfect space to hang out, play games, cook, eat, drink, and relax. The fireplace is gas, which is nice as we didn't have to keep adding wood. The hot tub was absolutely lovely in the cold cold weather. Our only complaint was the fact that water pressure was quite bad in the showers and sink. Otherwise, highly recommended!

This place is charming! The views worth the whole trip, the house is very confortable and equipped. Location is convenient, we visit Luray caverns, Massanuten resort and went hiking on the Shenandoah park. The view from the hot tub to the Appalachian trail is priceless. First time on a trip beds are this comfy. Property manager was always responsive to all our questions. Thank you!!

A weekend getaway
We really enjoyed our time here! It was a great location 10-15 mins to Hawsbill diner, Food lion, dollar general and a local pizza place next to food lion which was great for a few things we forgot. We went to the Massanutten Indoor waterpark around 40 minutes away. We used the hot tub and planned to used the pool table and fire pit but never did. It was nice and comfortable with a home feel. We will be back for sure! Can wait to see those views again!!!

Great view!
Cabin was clean with amazing views and great amenities. Fairly easy to get to, I backed into driveway as the angle is too sharp to turn into without passing and turning around which is also easy. Heaters worked great but made some noise that we got accustomed to first night, nothing too loud. I would definitely recommend this place.

So much potential
This property’s main sale is the view! Gorgeous. Unfortunately I had to clean the sliding glass doors to see it. There were old mice droppings under the stove. The master sheets had a blood stain. The gas fire place needs replacing. We had the caretaker up twice. The place had some and enjoyed the upgrades. Caretaker was a phenomenal help. Owner was responsive but really got the “investment” feeling. Would not rent again but does have a lot of potential. Outdoor comfortable seating needs to be purchased

Property was perfect for a long weekend getaway. If you’re looking for solitude and great views, this is your place. We took advantage of the relaxing hot tub, Picturesque views surrounding the outside fire pit, and a local massage therapist who came out on site. A few notes: The bunkbeds have firmer mattress is geared more towards kids and the bedrooms do not have individual air conditioning units or vents, So it could get hotter during warmer months

Had a nice weekend but not as great as expected
I like that the property was close to luray and to Arrowhead lake. Both those places are awesome and my family and I really enjoyed that part of the trip. The view was also very pretty from the house as expected. Some positives were that my kids enjoyed playing pool and ping pong and everyone enjoyed the hot tub. The major negative was that the place was not clean, and I am not a perfectionist when it comes to cleanliness, I don't keep a super clean house... But this was pretty dirty, I actually worked on cleaning some before our friends got there because it was a bit embarrassing since I picked it out. The hot tub was also dirty and one of the filters had never been cleaned out so it wasn't working properly, my husband actually cleaned it and did some work on it before we used it to make it usable. Mark was easy to get ahold of and friendly. But I do not know if he visits often enough to know the condition of the house. I feel bad leaving this review because I usually leave really great reviews but this place was good, not great. The property was pretty but hard to walk around, I was hoping that we could enjoy some of the amenities that the community offer but Mark basically said that they're really really hard to find. I think that I would have given this house four or five stars if it were half the price it was but for the amount we paid it just didn't live up to the bill.

Lots to love, with a few things to consider
There's lots to love about this property. The view is stunning, the beds are comfy, and the owner is attentive and responsive. A few things to be aware of before booking: -There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms. This certainly wouldn't be a problem during cooler months, but we were there during an unseasonably hot couple of weeks and were uncomfortable during the night. There were screens missing from a couple of windows, so we were unable to open them for cross-breeze without inviting in all the bugs. -The living room, kitchen and one bathroom are remodeled, but the bedrooms and second bathroom are still a work in progress. -This is a serene retreat and the closest town is about 30 minutes away. If you are seeking solitude, this property is for you. If you are seeking a more "country light" experience, with easy access to town, you'll find staying here frustrating. - This is not a property for families with small children. There are several outdoor staircases and doors to the outside, and the railing on the deck is a little worn. Perfectly fine for older kids who can be careful. - The Hawksbill Diner stops serving breakfast at 11, so if you want those amazing pancakes, get up and get going by 10!
