Greatly enjoyed my stay here! We will definitely be back! It was nice and cozy considering we were there during the hurricane. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!
The cottage was just the right size for my wife and I. It had all the amenities we needed. Location was perfect. Water front view out our front window. A Oceanside National Park just a 5 min drive away. Bill was a great host. Easy to get a hold of and let us know ahead of time on what we would needed for our stay.
The location was handy and a nice, clean house. The bedrooms upstairs were nice but with the only bathroom downstairs there was a bit of a nighttime challenge. All in all it served us nicely!
Cottage was nice and clean and had all the amenities that we needed. We loved the big shade trees in front of the cottage as it kept our vehicle cool. Disney plus on the Roku tv was a bonus!
We did hear animal movement underneath the bathtub but wasn’t really bothersome to us.

Bayside Cottages
The cottage was very nice except for the toilet draining system, which gurgled air when the pump kicked in, and it did not flush the last evening. Bike trails and access to the gulf is excellent. Would say again.
My husband and I were trying to de-stress after a stressful incident at home. We had never visited PEI and I’m thankful that we did. A beautiful island.
Our place was lovely. It definitely is a Honeymoon Suite. You could accommodate 4 but it could become a tad over crowded. Comfortable, everything listed (amenities) were all there. Would return in a heartbeat 😊
Wonderful cottage, close to everything. Nice to have access to a grill. Only mild concern was front screen door had a gap that let in a few mosquitos. As noted in previous reviews, the toilet does gurgle a bit and my wife heard the critters, but not a big issue. Thought that not having park passes would be an issue, but it wasn’t. Overall, wonderful cottage, very clean and the view from the front porch was amazing. Definitely would rent again. I researched the area and places to stay very thoroughly and this place is a gem.
We had a great time. Yes, neighbours very close but was very quiet at night.
Didn't hear any animals.
2 minutes from Brackley beach and 1 minute from Original Richards seafood.
Not shown in pics was an additional pull out couch, was great for my 2 kids to share (maybe new?)
Remember, you get what you pay for. No AC but 2 huge fans and cools off overnight.
Suggestion, maybe add letter or number to outside of cottage for guests arriving later in day.
Overall - wonderful stay.
Overall we were satisfied with our stay at the cottage. There were a few issues that other guests should be aware of.
1) there is no air-conditioning
2) this cottage has wildlife living underneath the cottage (beneath the bathtub) which scratches and moves around during the night.
3) the toilet makes odd gurgling noises when it is flushed, but it works okay so wasn't really an issue.

Raccoons or else
Unfortunately we had to leave after 1 night since there were animal living underneath the cottage bedroom. They were scratching the walls and making noise all night.
We did not leave because of the weather since we staid on PEI for 4 more days.
We would like a full refund for the other 4 nights. Because you cannot get rid of animals like that in one day, we know we live in the countryside.
Bill was lovely, and helped with our needs.
free kayaks to explore the local lake.
we had raccoons underneath the bathtub, which Bill sorted out. We moved into the next door 3-bedroom cottage FOC which was absolutely fantastic service by Bill.
Easy walking to the beaches on the other side.
We used the BBQ every day, and sat outside on the veranda overlooking the lakeside.
Please note, that there are no food staples in the cottage (only salt, pepper and sugar) (no tea, coffee, shampoo or condiments), so you need to bring everything else with you.
the nearest supermarket is 23km away (charlottetown) which had lots of local food on offer which was brilliant..
also note that it is on the boundary of a national park, which you have to pay about $4 per person per day to use the road. so check the route to the cottage.
we got a annual pass to use the national park roads as it provides access to three parks in total and worked out cheaper.
Due Diligence Essential - We Did Not Stay Here as Planned
We arrived about 8:30PM. Even with daylight it was hard to find the house. It was very close to another property; we couldn't tell this from the listing pictures. It seems part of an older "cottage camp." Screen door didn't fit so mosquitoes entered in numbers; also cigarette smoke from the front deck next door. Hungry, we ate some cold chicken we brought for dinner. My spouse looked out the front window to see three LARGE raccoons hanging on the privacy fence. Owner was contacted and he said he was "thinking" of getting rid of them, claims they were "babies" and would pose no threat. He also said he would talk to the renters next door about the smoking. The presence of vermin points to a larger issue, in my opinion, with property maintenance. All "a priori" unacceptable conditions especially as raccoons can pose a health and safety risk, and should be a priority to be eliminated before renting to the public. Others commented on this (sadly, only recently before our arrival.). We left about two hours later. We did not stay here. Be very diligent before you rent.
This cottage was very cozy and comfortable, with a heat pump to warm us on cold October days. The cottage is very small but has all the amenities we needed, including reliable WiFi and a large screen tv. The setting on Covehead Bat is very tranquil and is also good for taking long walks.

Honeymoon cottage
It was an ok place to stay. The view of the water was beautiful!. The outside appearance was somewhat cluttered and some of the furniture inside was quite worn.
