"Tony was an excellent host. There was a small maintenance issue with our toilet. Tony looked into it right away and gave us a gift for our troubles. Very generous and totally unexpected! Breakfasts were simple, but filling. I will say that our beds were very much on the firm side. But it mattered little as we were tired everyday from exploring the city. "

"Avoca House was a great balance to the busy center of Dublin. Being near the Botanic Gardens made for a nice walk interval after arrival on the red-eye flight and nap time! The bed was wonderful. When we awoke, we were refreshed enough to get the bus (7 minute walk from Avoca) into the Temple Bar area for dinner and a stroll through the high-energy neighborhood. "Lovely room with great black out curtains as I needed a small nap. Wifi great. I really liked the private area for guests to eat, overlooked the garden. The bathroom was huge which for a girl is great. There was a little box on the floor which had items you could take if you forgot something, had never seen that before, lovely little touch. Great location if using the rail network, 5 mins walk. I walked to the sea which was 10 mins away. Would be back and highly recommend"
