"Location good as we came to go to a family party in Castor. Rooms spacious, furnishing basic We booked for a party of 8, however there were only 6 dining chairs, 6 metal knives and only 5 mugs, of which one had a broken handle. So, provision of equipment was not adequate for the party size booked. There was no check-in information provided. A code for the key safe was e-mailed and sent via text at 1pm of day of arrival, but we had no notice that this was to be the process and we had to chase...

"The house was just perfect for what we were after. A reunion of friends, where we could just catch up, chill, eat food, drink wine, go for a walk... The house ticked all our boxes. Communication was great. No issues."

"The house itself is good, comfortable, and fairly reflects the listing, with ample space for a large house party. However, our otherwise enjoyable experience was let down by the lack of attention to detail, in terms of house-keeping and maintenance/repair. When paying a top-end price (about 7k for 4 nights) it was disappointing that several lights did not work (including bathroom lights, dining room main light, bathroom mirror light), the Aga never got up to cooking temperature even after 4 days...

"We visited Stamford from the US with my father, who is almost 80, as well as my sister and our children (ranging from 1-15) because my father had gone to boarding school there and we were on a memory lane trip. The house was excellent - fabulous old charm in the house, but all had been renovated so the kitchen and bathrooms and such were new. The location was perfect and the beds were comfortable! "

"Very handy location for the conference centre and a nice three bed house. We had a comfortable stay and would come again. We did have some issues with check in (needed to call to get the key box code as hadn't received it when we arrived) and the sofa bed was broken (there was a thin roll out mattress instead - but not what we were expecting) but the management team did respond to calls, and to messages (if less quickly)."

"Expensive. advertised hot tub but we must have misunderstood there wasnt one, and think the amneties meant a bath tub, very old decor like it or hate it i didnt like it, smelt old and damp garden furnture ready to colapse on you as seemed rotten . I couldnt wait to leave the area made up for it though close to some beautiful beaches and nature reserves which was why we stayed in the area, sorry but wouldnt stay again"
