First thing, tried to communicate with owners about changing the room we had reserved to their larger accommodations. They replied once but ghosted me on the second question I had.
Texted again a month later (3 days b4 arriving) to see if we could check in early the day of arrival. Wanted to charge $40 to hold room. Got there, couldn't unlock door. Texted, was told we weren't even trying to unlock the door, when you know darn well, they were watching on cameras.
Second day asked how to exchange towels was told "We don't do that either, sorry. It's not really like a hotel"
Also got this weird 2 pg. "Welcome Info" email w/ck in info, directions, Wifi info, etc (usual stuff). But the paragraph about "avoiding damages was odd, to say the least. Rules about the towels being stained and the cost if stained (the towels were thread baren and restitched from a towel cut in half. PLUS, WE WERE EXPECTED TO USE THE SAME TOWEL, WASH CLOTH AND HAND TOWEL FOR 8 DAYS...GROSE! Where to put the trash was totally confusing when all that was needed to be said was which street to put it on. Would have been nice to know that only Roku TV was provided. We don't have a Roku password. Hence, no TV. The toaster oven was nasty, and the door would not stay shut. The bed was like a giant marshmallow, way too difficult to even roll over in. let alone try and get out of. The hot tub was falling apart, lid of tub sinking into the tub. NASTY! Plus,
the construction next door, dusty, difficult parking.
