Country Heaven
We had a gorgeous and peaceful stay at Miss Emma’s home ❤️ she is a wonderful host and a lovely lady. She treated us like family. Her home was so beautiful and quiet and we loved sitting on the porch swing every night. What a step back in time! And the beautiful, old oak trees in the yard! Come stay with Miss Emma!❤️

Cajun Country Home
We had a wonderful stay. Emmaline, Charlie and Michael were excellent hosts. They were always available for any questions about the property. They had a wealth of knowledge about the area and the state of Louisiana. The country setting was great. Yet it was close to town for groceries, shopping, restaurants, entertainment, etc. They truly made us feel welcome and at home. MERCI BEAUCOUP!

Family Celebration
The property was just as it was advertised. Beautiful home, full of antiques and well placed decorative pieces. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The hostess was a delight to meet and we felt as though we had made a new friend. She welcomed us with Cajun hospitality treating us to homemade chicken salad sandwiches and carrot cake. The fridge was stocked with cold drinks and water . I have stayed at many other vacation homes ,but this was the first time I felt so welcomed by the host. I recommend this place .The area around this home is a great place to explore the outdoors and to learn more about Louisiana history.

Home sweet home
What can I say other than Miss Emmaline and her beautiful home was over and above what we could have asked for. Emmaline takes southern hospitality to another level through her kind heart and what I would call love in action which means she practices what she preaches in an expression of her kind heart. She is my friend and we could not have had a better experience in Cajun country, her heart is in her home and you can feel it. Nothing was left undone, and everything we needed was provided, if I could give it 10 stars I would, Thank you miss Emmaline for a once in a lifetime overall wonderful Cajun experience!

Outstanding in every way!
My family was attending a four day Festival in Lafayette. This home was perfect for us to get away from city crowds, yet close enough to make for an easy drive. The property was beautiful, charming, and relaxing. The host was very responsive throughout our stay, and had even left us cake and sandwiches. This so far has been my favorite rental property, and I travel quite a bit, so that says a lot!

Wonderful place to stay
This is a wonderful place to stay. The house and grounds are beautiful, gracious and very comfortable for our group of five. The house is a vision of the past, like stepping back into old Louisiana, with beautiful antiques, a wrap around porch, lovely roses, well kept gardens and sugar cane fields nearby. Emmaline, the owner and hostess is a delight, very accomodating, a very good cook, and alot of fun to talk to. Thank you, Emmaline, for a wonderful stay. We will be back!!!

Loved the wrap-around porch!! Tea on that porch drunk from an actual teacup was an experience I shall remember for some time. Delightful! The dirt road between cane fields was good for jogging and the property is near Lake Martin. Meeting Emmaline was very much a highlight--gracious host, very accommodating.

Book NOW! It’s amazing 😁
Unfortunately our stay was not a vacation, but for the passing of my mom. This house spoke to me the moment I saw photos and I HAD to stay here. It ends up being my grandmother’s 1st cousin and his lovely wife that own the home…so amazing how God put us exactly where we needed to be. The house and yard are beautiful and peaceful. We also enjoyed the fresh cake and macaroni casserole that was for us! A true gem of a home and the owners.

Genuine!
Emmaline, the owner, has such a kind and welcoming spirit that simply could not help but overflow into every facet of our time in her unique and homey, south Louisiana rental home. Her hospitality is genuine and so is her house. We have stayed in many VRBO houses but have never been greeted with a personal appearance to show us around, a refrigerator full of food, an authentic, home-coooked Cajun brunch at HER home and a farewell visit on the porch. There are porches on three sides of the house that beg to be experienced with a good book and glass of sweet tea. We loved keeping the four sets of screened double doors leading to the porches open to the warm bayou breezes. The azaleas, magnolias, pecans and crepe myrtles surrounding the house and porches complement the roses and other flowers in abundance. If you are traveling to the area, stay here, soak up everything Cajun and let Emmaline show you what genuine hospitality feels like.

Real Cajun hospitality
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cajun country. We had an extended stay and were able to watch spring come into the neighborhood with the flowering of the many azalea and magnolia bushes, ornamental pear trees and roses. Our host, Emmaline, had some surprise welcome gifts in the fridge for us and greeted us soon after we arrived. The house was well-stocked with everything we needed and decorated for Mardi Gras! Emmaline was a truly gracious and thoughtful host and went above and beyond what we expected with pointers on things to experience in the area to really get a feel for this most unique culture. Highly recommend!

La Petite Voie De St. Therese house was warm and welcoming. It is well stocked with all the luxuries of home. The beds were comfortable and warm, the decor was beautiful and the floors shone! But the absolute cherry on top was our hostess, Emmaline! She left no stone unturned to make sure our stay was memorable. The local community boasts delicious Cajun food and live music everywhere at all hours of the day. The shops in the town square were great fun to patronize. This trip was meant to bring healing to myself and my daughters at the loss of our husband and father, respectively, and it delivered. A lovely home.

Exactly Where We Were Meant to Be
Such a beautiful and authentic cajun home and an even more beautiful heart that cares for it and her guests that stay! La Petite Voie de San Therese was a much needed get away after such a stressful year. We loved Emmaline and her home in Breaux Bridge. We used it as a home base and were able to visit Lafayette as well as travel further out to New Orleans and go on other daily adventures always knowing we were coming home to a safe and peaceful place of rest and restoration. Thank you Emmaline for everything! Sending much love from California

Hard to leave
I couldn't find anywhere to stay in Lafayette, so looked in surrounding area and am so glad I did. I grew up in Lafayette, so this was a good chance to return. Staying here is like visiting with the grandma who likes you best. House is the perfect Cajun cottage, filled with antiques including claw foot bathtub. Also filled with fresh homemade sandwiches and a cake! Fridge stocked with cold drinks. Cool and quiet, and the porch is the best place to watch the birds feed and relax. We had family over, and everyone loved it. Truly hard to go home.

The house is like stepping into the past. It was the perfect place for my family to spend our time. My kids just liked running all over the property and hanging out under the oak trees. We got to watch the sugar cane field next door harvested. The wrap around porch was probably my favorite feature. Emmaline stocked us up on an enormous amount of food. We use airb&B and vrbo a lot and she we've never had a host so eager to please us and make sure our stay was great.

In town to visit family in Parks for Independence Day. This house is conveniently located between Breaux Bridge and Parks. The home is a museum in itself. Beautiful place wonderful host.
Emmaline makes you feel like family. We arrived to this beautiful property to tasty chicken salad sandwiches and the most delicious homemade cake we have ever had. We spoke with Emmaline when we arrived, she made us feel so welcomed and that us enjoying our vacation was her priority. The house has everything you need. We ate all our meals in the rockers on the porch or at the table on the nice patio. You must try the boiled crawfish and shrimp while you are there. I had my 13 and 10 yr old children with me and never heard I'm bored once. Emmaline checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly and we all got to have a wonderful conversation one evening . I'm not sure what I miss most Emmaline or the rocker on the porch. We will defiantly go back. My kids said that's where they want to spend next Spring Break which is high praise for usually beach only kids.

You will never find a nicer place to stay or better cajun hospitality than Emmaline and this lovely house! Emmaline has blessed the world by creating a sanctuary built with love for people to relax and enjoy! Upon entering the house you immediately feel at home! She had homemade chicken salad sandwiches and chocolate cake waiting for us after our long drive. The wrap around porch was great for relaxing in one of the rocking chairs or the porch swing. I could go on and on about this wonderful place. You will not find a better place anywhere to stay for your vacation. Emmeline and her son Michael have made sure that your stay here is the best of the best. We are sooooo thankful for them! We have stayed here every time we come down and look forward to many more!

Merci beaucoup Emmaline. Emmaline’s house is ideally located in the Cajun’s country : Lake Martin (next door), Lafayette, Avery Island… We stayed three nights, a nice break during our 2 weeks trip in the US.
