Great location. We were able to walk a couple of blocks to the train to go downtown for the game.
The home was very clean and had everything we needed…
The house was great for our party of 10! Plenty of room to spend time together and to also get away from the chaos. Very gracious host. Very accommodating and quick to answer questions An overall pleasant experience.
We travelled to St. Louis for a family reunion and had a great stay at this home. There were 10 of us and the house accommodated all of us very well. We especially loved the open living/kitchen area with plenty of room to relax. The location was perfect with access to Forest Park, downtown and Clayton.
Wonderful house located close to all of the attractions in the city!
Our family of 6 was comfortable and Shawn was responsive and helpful.
Highly recommend!
Had a great week with family - great location- played golf in the park and enjoyed entertaining in the big open living room. Air conditioning was wonderful!
The house was big, clean, and in a great location. Each person had their own bedroom and only two shared a bathroom. We had a great weekend. The host was super nice and even offered late check out. I will use this location again whenever I make it back to St. Louis.
There was plenty of bedrooms for our family of twelve. The location was in the perfect place for the events we attended. We even utilized the Metro Link for the Cards game, which was great to avoid the traffic after the game. We will definitely use the property in the future.
check in and check out was a breeze.
Parking was not as easy, but it was not as easy parking, so that was a plus.
There was dirty towels in the laundry room when we arrived, and no clean towels, but we washed them, and that was fine. Also no hand towels.
Place was as advertised.
Forrest park was right across the street, and easy drive to downtown.
This house was perfect for me and my bridal party to get ready the morning of and crash the night after my wedding! There was plenty of seating and beds for everyone and it was minutes from Forest Park and the wedding venue! Also Shawn was so easy to get a hold of and was incredibly helpful during the whole process! There was also a cute little fire pit with the wood all stacked and ready for us!
I think my only critique would be adding blackout curtains or blinds in the master bedroom, with all the windows it was very bright in the morning. But the natural light made getting makeup done so lovely 😍
The house worked perfectly for our family group. Walking distance to Forest Park and Metrolink station. Well maintained. Owner was very responsive to questions.

Needs work
The location was great for St. Louis activities. The basement is less than "in process." It needs a lot of work, it is not a "suite." The rest of the property was quite nice. The living room furniture could use some add-ons for comfort. The master suite was great, and it was awesome to have four bathrooms.

Great old home near Forest Park
Four adult couples and three young adult singles enjoyed four nights in this home. It is very conveniently located within walking distance to the Forest Park/DeBaliviere MetroLink station. The house is older, so squeaky steps and floors just give it more character. The kitchen has ample room for cooking in, and a large deck out back gives added room for kicking back and enjoying nice weather. Would definitely consider recommending to anyone who wants to be close to the park and within walking distance to the Metro. We enjoyed an evening Cardinals game, and the ease of getting there and back without having to fight traffic/parking was wonderful. We also enjoyed a play at the Muny Theatre, and it can easily be walked (0.9 miles one way).

Great location and very responsive host
This house was perfect for our party of 13 (4 adults and 8 scouts). A key pad is used for entry which was very convenient for our late arrival.
Based on a prior review, I was concerned about parking but we never had an issue with our two vehicles. Parking on the street was available directly in front of the house every day.
The location is very convenient - close to the zoo and the West End. There is also a Metro stop near by but we didn't use it. The house is on a quiet residential street and we felt very safe. We did see a charming coffee shop within walking distance and other eating establishments close enough to walk as well (On a scout's budget we ate in using Shawn's kitchen but the adults would have walked to the coffee shop each morning - next time).
The layout of the house worked very well too. The main floor is open with two eating bars around the kitchen and a large dining table. The entire main floor holds the common areas with a half bath. Three bedrooms and two baths are upstairs and 1 bedroom with bath is downstairs. There are also stairs leading to the porch so this house would be difficult to manage if you have mobility problems. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms had very good water pressure. There are large flat screen TVs in the main living area and most of the bedrooms.
Shawn was very responsive to our needs. He even came out to the house late on the first evening at our request. Many thanks Shawn. We would love to come back - but just the adults next time!

Great location and lots of space!
This property had tons of space and was in a great location. Well worth the rental rate. The basement area may still be a work in progress but it was usable. Would recommend a few “pointers” somewhere on the property for renters to read. I.e. bedroom door code, where to take trash and recyclables, etc. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to the St. Louis area.

Large space, a bit in progress, has essentials and more
We had a great time staying at the house. Only legitimate complaint I would make is that some of the “beds” are just mattresses on the floor. This wasn’t an issue for our relatively young group, but I could see it being an issue for families with older members. If it had said this in the booking description, we still probably would’ve booked, as the value is incredible - it’s in a great neighborhood with easy access to transit and roads to downtown or other areas. Kitchen was great - bring your own mugs if all 12 of you drink coffee, or just get a little creative with the glassware options. The main floor gets a bit chilly in the winter (as compared with upstairs & basement), but we didn’t fiddle with the HVAC too much, and there were plenty of blankets plus our own.
House on the whole - including the common areas - was great for our trip.
Shawn was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly.
Parking might be an issue if you had more than one vehicle (we didn’t, so wasn’t an issue), but there seemed to be somewhat ample street parking.

Beautiful home, perfect for big group
The house has been beautifully renovated and was perfect for our group of 7. There was plenty of room to spread out and still be together, the open plan made it easy to enjoy each other's company without being cramped. The beds are super comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless and had abundant hot water, and the host was friendly and communicative. We'd definitely come back!
