"This is an excellent location to stay when staying on Mersea Island. Plenty of restaurants nearby and few minute walk to sea. Well appointed house with good garden facilities, owner in good contact if needed. Thank you"

"We get good responsive action when we needed the flower and front garden cut. back garden need cutting, insect started entering the house, shower curtain need to be fixed but response, we mop water everyday after shower. We stayed over 3 weeks no cleaner to clean and we paid for cleaning each time we extend our stay. We will go else where so that the house can be cleaned when we leave instead of extending it and remain in the unkept environment. We stayed that long because of nearness to home...

"Our overall stay was excellent but was initially marred by the incorrect postal code provided and then unhelpful customer service staff who had no idea how to direct us to the property. We arrived in darkness, unable to locate our lodge. Had to ask locals for directions. A poor start!"

"The property was perfectly situated with local amenities withing walking distance - we didnt have to touch the car for the duration of our get away. The property itself was a great base with more than enough sleeping space for the 6 of us. The only downside that we noticed was the lack of a comfy sitting area after a long day of crabbing down on the jetty. "This place is magical, if you love the old world, bygone times as I would put it. The cottage is amazing. You have a view from every room, kitchen, lounge, master bedroom, even the bathroom (if youre sitting on the loo) Its amazing.Whoever built this place years ago, they knew what they were doing. Im missing the view so much now Im home, its amazing. The hosts are great. They really do everything they can to make you welcome. This is a fabulous place. So glad I booked it."
