Sunset Paradise is a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath home (with full solar coming Feb. 2025) privately nestled in the Concordia area of Coral Bay. It is situated above Salt Pond and Ram Head. Sunset Paradise is only minutes from Salt Pond and Lameshur beaches. Enjoy the gentle trade winds, gorgeous sunsets and beautiful views from every room. The spacious kitchen, cocktail pool and large outdoor space make this home extra special. If you are looking for privacy and tranquility, Sunset Paradise is your St. John vacation destination!

**We have recently completed some updates on our property. We added a raised deck/yoga platform and improved the front entrance. We have also made improvements to the inside of the house as well.

We do have a security camera at the front entrance to the house.

Loved this House and the Beautiful View!
We had a great stay at Sunset Paradise! It was our first visit to St. John, and it couldn’t have been better! The home was stocked with all the necessities and even some extras! The provided laundry detergent was a serious plus, as we washed suits and towels every evening. Could have spent every moment on the deck looking out over the bays! Highly recommended!

Great stay at Sunset Paradise
Can’t say enough great things. Everything from the showers, to the bedrooms, to the kitchen were amazing. The outdoor areas and views were incredible and the highlight. You are definitely on the quiet side of the island, which we truly appreciated. If you need to reach the owners at any point, they are quick to respond to texts, and are eager to ensure your stay goes smoothly. We can only hope we’ll be back!

We loved this place and had a wonderful 10 days. It is very spacious, comfortable, great view of Salt Pond, very private, and easy to get to and find. The kitchen was well equipped and the grill was excellent. It was everything we hoped for.

Amazing getaway
This property is a GEM! It’s absolutely breathtaking and we had an amazing experience. The house was clean, close to some local restaurants, and overlooked Salt Pond Bay which happened to one of our favorite snorkeling places! This is the first time my husband and I visited the island with our friends and truly we cannot wait to come back, Vicki is amazing and super easy to get in contact with. This place will not disappoint! Thanks so much for the wonderful experience and an unforgettable trip!

Host was great, house is very nice and has everything you need. View outstanding. FYI - Road to home is very rough and rocky and driveway requires backing in on a very steep downhill paved driveway.

A wonderful place to stay
I had a wonderful visit to Sunset Paradise! The house is beautiful and all the contents are new and in tip top condition. Vicki was wonderful answering my questions. The driveway is a bit tricky as it turns sharply to the right but it’s easy to find.

Beautiful, quiet retreat
This house is PERFECT for 2 adult couples! We loved watching the bananaquits each day as well as drinking coffee on the porch overlooking the stunning view. The owners always answered us promptly. I would def recommend having a rental jeep to explore the island from this house! St John proved to be the only island our group said we would love to return to for a second visit!! Book it!

Sunset Paradise - aptly named!
My husband and I plus another couple just got home from a 10 night stay at Sunset Paradise - and everything was simply amazing. The view from the cocktail pool, the spacious and well-stocked kitchen (perfect for us who love to cook), separate bedrooms/bathrooms on different levels (great for 2 couples!), on the remote and quiet side of the island, and of course the gorgeous sunsets. Vicki was a breeze to communicate with. This is a very special house and we'd love to stay there again.

Absolute paradise
Sunset paradise is the perfect name for this home. Set on a hill overlooking Salt Pond Bay, the views of the sunset from the cocktail pool were stunning. The pictures do not do justice to the house. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms that are entirely separate from each other on two different levels of the house. The kitchen was well stocked, and the living area was comfortable. But the stars were the two full length verandas (upper and lower) where you could watch boats go by, stargaze, or read a book in the shade. The hosts were lovely and responsive. They left a wonderful welcome basket for us with snacks and rum and playing cards. There is a very short patch of road that is not paved right before you get to the house, so if you think you’ve made a wrong turn, you haven’t! This was the perfect place for a private, secluded, and quiet getaway vacation. We will definitely come back here if we return to vacation in St. John!

Perfect slice of paradise
Sunset Paradise was the perfect home away from home on the beautiful island of St John. My husband and I stayed with our two children (11 and 9). We didn't feel comfortable having the kids stay in the downstairs bedroom since it wasn't attached to the interior of the house so we used the pull out couch which worked wonderfully! We spent our early mornings soaking in the beautiful views surrounding the house, our late mornings/early afternoons exploring and snorkeling at various beaches and our evenings enjoying many of the local restaurants and star gazing in the pool. There is construction right beside the house but it didn't bother us at all - it was quiet and we were away from the house during the day anyways. Although it was about a 30-40 minute drive to Cruz Bay, we didn't mind as we preferred the more remote/quiet area in which Sunset Paradise is located. It was only about a 10-15 minute drive to Coral Bay where there are many great restaurants. Overall, we couldn't have been more happy with our choice to stay at Sunset Paradise! You won't regret it!

Sunset Paradise is perfect!!!
Wow is all we can say-wow! My husband and I traveled with our two college kids and we all LOVED this place! The set up was perfect with the kids and their own space in the pool level space. We love adventure and aren’t much for touristy stuff so the Coral Bay side of the island was quieter and just our speed. It was a short drive to the Cruz Bay side which we did a couple times, but always looked forward to coming back to the house. It was so quiet and with no neighbors and we felt like we had the whole side of the mountain to ourselves! The house has so many details including beach chairs, bug spray, and every cooking amenity we needed. The wifi was also great for an island house. It was obvious the owners just finished some remodeling and updates. It looked great! The wrap around porch was awesome and the pool was so relaxing after a day of hiking and snorkeling. One of our favorite things was sitting on the porch in the morning and watching the birds come to the feeder. In fact we spent most of our time on the porch because we couldn’t get enough of the view! When we return we will be staying here without a doubt!

Stunningly beautiful views in all directions -- perfect in every way
My husband, adult son and I spent a week at Sunset Paradise and found the home's moniker to be absolutely accurate. What a perfect location as our home base for daily snorkeling excursions. We could see the Salt Pond Bay parking lot to gauge when beach lots might start filling. The view of the bay and Ram's Head in the distance were beautiful at all times of day. Wildlife abounds in the yard and around the neighborhood...the soothing sound of cooing doves, deer, donkeys, frogs, little lizards, and a variety of birds, including little bananaquits we could feed sugar from a provided feeder. When we returned from snorkeling, each day, we enjoyed watching boats come and go in the bay from the shade of the deck. In the evenings we watched the sunset from the pool, followed by an entertaining parade of little frogs making their way along the side edge of the pool to leap into an adjacent flowering tree. Our adult son loved having the private downstairs bedroom and ensuite bath to himself. Upstairs we had our own private room and bath with a huge shower and convenient laundry facility right in room. We can't wait to return in 2024 and are already considering possible dates to reserve our next week in absolute Paradise.

We enjoyed the property very much. This is our fourth time being to St. John’s. The first two were at the concordia and the last two were rented houses and this was by far and away our favorite location and set up. We enjoyed the pool. We hiked in snorkeled everywhere.

Peaceful, remote, and beautiful views!
We've visited St. John more than a dozen times, and we've found the quietest places on the eastern half of the island. At Sunset Paradise, we didn't hear any loud water trucks, music-blasting party Jeeps or dance music from neighbors. In fact, there were times that it was so quiet, we could hear boaters talking down in the bay. Day or night, most of what we heard were birds and frogs, which we found very relaxing. Proximity to Salt Pond was fantastic - it's one of our favorite beaches. The villa was perfect - the AC in the bedroom made it cooler for sleeping and helped keep most of the bugs out. We quickly got used to the non-AC living room, and kept all screens closed, but we still got some bug bites (so be sure to bring your favorite bug spray and anti-itch med). At some other villas, every grocery staple from previous guests is removed - so we REALLY appreciated that basics like salt, sugar, spices, coffee (and filters!) were well stocked and we didn't have to buy those. The kitchen is also fully equipped for any cooking needs you can think of. Vicki was super-quick to respond to any communications; the gas ran out the second evening and she got the gas man scheduled for the next morning. There is a new house under construction to the south, currently just the concrete structural components. The workers were only there a few days during our week and weren't terribly loud, and they never started before 9:00am. The views are amazing! We never got tired of the sunsets.

Heaven on Earth
Very easy renting process. The owners were very informative and prompt with any questions or concerns we had. The house and location was absolutely perfect. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of cookware and kitchen amenities for those who enjoy cooking like me. The views are simply amazing and can be enjoyed all through the house. You wake up to the views, shower, make breakfast, ect. all the while they are in plain sight. If you're on the fence about renting this house just do it. You will be happy you did.
