We had such an amazing time staying at the villa. It was clean and beautiful. It is a taxi ride away from the town and beaches but the owners communicate with you and give you contacts to call to get picked up easily. We would definitely stay again!
We loved our stay here! The place was really clean and decorated cute! The views are amazing! The home had everything that we needed and the owners were great to work with. I was a bit nervous about the drive to the place after reading some reviews, but everything was fine! We learned our way around the area quickly. We would definitely stay here again!
The villa was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped. Sitting out on the patio looking out over the bay was the perfect way to start and end the day. The pool is just short walk down the hill and also has great views. The drive down into Cruz Bay only takes a few minutes. We will definitely be back!!
We are beach people who only want a place to clean up and sleep, hopefully with a view. This house covered those bases for us.
The open ceilings make privacy questionable and all 3 doors need replaced because of water damage. 2 of the doors we were afraid to even try to open. The top of the fridge and the inside of cabinets need to be wiped out.
Checkin and check out a breeze. View is amazing. Showers good beds adequate.
Overall i would stay here again. Be ready for a challenging drive up the hill but the view is worth it.
Nice two bedroom with ocean view and had a nice modern beach vibe (however not very private). While not required by the property manager the snorkeling gear was extremely worn (unusable, rubber dissolving etc). The doors to the patio also were rotten and hard to open. Also bring your own kitchen supplies—coffee etc. during our stay everything was poorly stocked. There was a washer and dryer outside which was nice.
Great views, close to Cruz Bay. Be prepared for narrow, steep and windy roads to the property. All exterior doors need to be replaced, they are VERY difficult to open due to the wood swelling in the humidity there. Would suggest host leave a few bottled waters for guests as we arrived early afternoon after traveling since dawn, and had to immediately leave again to go buy water as it’s not safe to drink the cistern water used as their water source. Curtains could provide a bit more privacy in bedrooms. Nice idea to have snorkel equipment available, but it was totally unusable due to it being old and very filthy. It was a very pleasant stay, don’t get me wrong, but with a few tweaks, it would have added even more to our experience.
Group of 4 avid travelers beating winter in Arkansas. We had an easy check in and
The hostess was super easy to communicate and always prompt when answering questions. We communicated via text which worked well for me. The house was well stocked and had plenty of cooking utensils and condiments for sandwiches on beach. There is on site laundry on back deck which was convenient. The house was equipped with beach chairs and snorkeling gear and some pool noodles. We used the igloo cooler at the beach one day which was nice. The area was nice and the property was very clean. Parking was convenient and appointed for your specific condo rental. Made very easy to park. Condo was maybe 1 mile if that from downtown area. Easy to get too. Very close to grocery store for drinks etc. The views were wonderful and back deck nice to sit on. Some of furniture on patio dated but that’s to be expected from wear and tear. Free roaming rooster who crowed all night was inconvenient because I’m a light sleeper but not a game changer.

Needs a little Love
Very nice place that needs a little attention. Overall fantastic! Needs a handyman to fix a few doors, master bedroom is the worst. For some reason the top of the refrigerator is very rusty. Driving up the driveway is a bit crazy, especially in the dark. We got use to it. Very well equipped with kitchen ware and has a lot of herbs, spices and condiments left behind by others. All good! Even some beer and mixers. Little BBQ shows some weathering but worked like a champ! Beach gear is getting a bit warn. We brought our own snorkeling gear. We loved the view off the deck and ate every meal out there.

Location was a challenge
Being a relatively new traveler to USVI, I did not have a full understanding of the location of this villa when booking it. Based on the description and a search on Google Maps, it looked like it was a healthy but doable walk from a taxi stand, restaurants, groceries, etc. The description included a mention that a car was recommended, however I wrongly assumed we would be fine without one. Getting there required many perilous turns up huge hills - imagine a steeper San Francisco without sidewalks. We’re an active family but walking ANYWHERE from the villa was unsafe and unwise.
As a result of the location, we had to spend a significant amount of our time securing taxis to and from the villa. Some of the taxi companies refused to come up the hills to get us, and when they did, it required a wait and was expensive. It cost us more than $70 to get to Trunk Bay, and a simple trip to the grocery store was $64 for the transportation alone.
Regarding the villa itself, overall it met the VRBO description and was fine for our family. We appreciated having two bedrooms and a kitchen, and the villa cost was significantly less than hotels on Saint John. The VRBO host was very responsive and kind. There wasn’t much she could do about the issues we had, but I appreciated that she always responded in a helpful manner.

Mixed Feelings
While the views from here are spectacular and the complex is nice, be very aware chickens are all around. They roost and patrol right outside of the master bedroom, dozens of them. Expect to be woken up at 3:30am, 4:30am, 5:30am or 6:30am EVERYDAY. Ear plugs do not work.
The main door is gapped to the ground buy approximately ½”. The other doors are all rotted out and swelled so much that they contact the ground with so much pressure that they do not open easily. The master bedroom doors are boarded and gapped, you cannot open them. The doors in the other bedroom and living area are not nearly as bad, yet ALL the doors are rotted at the bottom and extremely difficult to open.
The cabinets and counter tops in the kitchen and baths are all new, hence “newly renovated”.
Kitchen pretty well stocked, but the knives are dull and unusable, no peeler. Outdoor grill works great.
Unit well stocked with TP & paper towels and soap and shampoo. Coffee cups are extremely small. Kitchen table and chairs are actually outdoor furniture.
The unit claims to come with a w&d. The stackable w/d are outside of the unit on the deck in the weather and broken and out of order. The washer had a “F5E2 - Lid lock error” after we had completed the diagnostic test ourselves. We contacted the management company about it and they offered to do our laundry, yet this isn’t something we were comfortable with so we asked if we could use one of the other unit’s w&d and they accommodated.
This was a perfect villa for two couples, with nearly equal size bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, set up with king beds. (One could be 2 singles). We rented a Jeep, and the location above Cruz Bay was a short drive and convenient for going out for evening dinners and picking up groceries. (Make dinner reservations well in advance as most restaurants are very busy). Nice sunset views off of the deck. The neighborhood is pretty and landscaped nicely with flowering bushes, and we enjoyed watching the birds from the deck. Driveway is a bit steep like most on St John, but all part of the fun! We didn’t use the pool. It was shared and a couple of buildings away, but we never felt like using it after being at the beaches all day! Great little place. We would stay here again!
Upper level villa with a view of the bay! Beautiful sunsets! Spent the mornings reading in the furniture on deck! Switchback roads to villa but fun! Close to market with great choices! Would stay again! Miss the rooster every morning!
This was a good spot. It’s not a huge place, but if you are a small family or two couples then this is perfect. The property manager was also very nice and helpful. The hills up to the villa are steep and not all cabs will deliver you directly there, so a rental jeep is recommended and you’ll appreciate your freedom from the taxis. The only thing this place didn’t have was a blender (it looked like a juicer and we didn’t feel comfortable sending ice through it), which wasn’t a huge issue, but would have been nice. Also, not a ton of beach towels, but there is a washer/dryer so we got by just using bath towels. But this place literally has everything else including AC, pool access and plenty of kitchen stuff for preparing meals if that’s what you’re into. Save this spot if you’re thinking of going to St. John’s.
We loved every minute of our stay-- great location close to town but away from the bustle. Dedicated off street parking was nice, internet worked well, and the kitchen was extremely well stocked with tools needed to cook comfortably at home. Cooler, floats, snorkeling gear, and beach towels were also available. And the view-- just amazing. So nice to sit on the porch and watch the sunset after a day on the water.
Absolutely top notch villa - clean, roomy, comfortable & adorable! Kitchen was really well stocked with pots, pans, etc which made preparing meals super easy! Gorgeous views & the sounds of nature that are off the chart beautiful! Drive up is super steep but worth the climb!!
The villa and amenities were as described and it was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The management company was terrific to work with and responded immediately. While close to Cruz Bay, this was not an easy jaunt into town. Some of the taxis couldn't get to the property because they were too big for the roads and some drivers didn't know where it was (there are no street signs or house numbers). If you are renting a car be prepared to navigate steep hills, hairpin turns, and extremely narrow roads, then jostle for very limited parking. To be fair, this is probably true for many properties on the island. Also, this villa doesn't have a back-up generator so you may have to suffer through unexpected power outages. Besides being hot, we didn't have running water for a period of time. We wound up going into Cruz Bay to eat and wait it out. My family is not the hotel or resort type, and we love staying in these types of rentals, but we found St. John to be more challenging when it comes to these types of accommodations.
We loved everything about this property. It was very clean, had everything we needed, and the property management company was amazing. The only bad part was the drive up the mountain to get to the home, but that was my issue not the company's fault.
