St. Ives Garden apartment

The Garden apartment on the ground floor is one bedroom with en suite shower vanity basin and toilet facilities. an open plan lounge/ dining area and fully equipped kitchen with patio doors leading to a small private garden with pond; patio chairs and table to relax in or barbeque area. There is parking outsde the main house. private garden.

We are within walking distance of St. IVES town which takes approx. 15 minutes. In the other direction Carbis Bay beach is approx. 15 mins away .Both directions go along the coastal path which have amazing views of the sea. We are near a good local pub which serves food and within 5 minutes walk to local food shop. At the back of us are woods with fields and country walks. There is a public 9 hole golf course nearby within walking distance.

St Ives town has 5 luxury beaches and clean golden sand and sea, voted one of top ten in Europe. St. Ives is famous for its traditional Cornish Harbour with fisherman's cottages leading to and from the centre of town with its narrow streets in which the Fore Street has lots of interesting little shops and restaurants to suit and abundance of tastes.. Several good fresh seafood restaurants and the traditional ' Cornish cream teas' can be found in and around town offering also coffee and a chance to experience home baking..
For those interested in art, the streets have many small galleries the pride of town being the Tate Gallery with its lovely views over Porthmeor beach . Also Barbara Hepworth sculpture museum and gardens and the Bernard Leach pottery is open for tours and chance to make a pot.
in September the studios have open doors for the Art and music festival .

For those who like walking there are many coastal walks and a pilgrims
walk to St. Michael's mount which is an experience not to be missed or just a local walk up to Knill's Steeple monument through woodland and fields which gives panoramic views of both coasts.
Porthmeor is a surfing beach which offers lessons and body boarding. There are lifeguards on beaches that show the flags.
Also for golfers we have a nine hole golf course locally and an 18 hole open golf course at Lelant with spectacular views of the sea.
The area is of outstanding beauty so if you want to just soak up some of the natural scenery you could take a boat trip from the harbour to Seal island or treat yourself to a fishing trip out in the bay on a high powered speed boat.
There is also a shuttle train ride to St. Erth via Lelant which shows the coastline from a different perspective and is well worth an all round trip ,
no wonder its been named the 'Jewel in our Crown'.

A lovely Garden apartment
Last minute visit to Carbis bay near St Ives so we looked online for somewhere to stay The Garden apartment is such a lovely property clean and tidy whilst cosy and comfortable with a log fire . Situated in a Quiet area and very close to St Ives it was the perfect choice for us and we would definitely stay again when possible Kind regards Simon n Lisa Sidmouth Devon

Lovely location worth the long journey
Property was spacious and as described online. Hosts Jimmy and wife very friendly and accommodating. Good property if you are taking your dog/dogs as enclosed garden Great location for walking into St Ives or Carbis Bay. Lovely food at The Gannet Inn and Tregenna Castle Hotel. We will be back in the future

Short break in St Ives
Great location for visiting St Ives, just a 20 min walk into town and 5mins to Tesco's for self catering. Apartment was very clean and comfortable with lovely garden views. Very friendly welcome. Would not hesitate to stay again.

We never stayed there, the owner booked us in, I paid in full then we get a message, sorry I’ve already got people booked in on your dates oops. Then.......tried to send a refund of £50 instead of the full amount. Was not pleased at all.

A fabulous garden apartment in a beautiful location.
A good size, well maintained and well equipped apartment within 10-15 mins walk of St Ives centre. Our host, Jimmy, couldn’t be more helpful, evening laying up the log burner each night for us, a real treat to come back to - our dog was particularly fond of it! This is the second time we’ve stayed here and we’ll definitely be back again 🤗.

Lovely apartment, convenient for St Ives and Carbis Bay
The Garden Apartment is very clean and nicely kitted out. Nice little private garden with a table and two chairs, room to have a small barbecue, washing line to dry towels or wetsuits. Nice modern decor. Jimmy and Dee are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Parking on site is a great bonus, as is Tesco a couple of minutes walk away and a local pub even closer than that serving lovely food. The apartment is approx 20 minutes walk into the centre of St Ives and a bit closer than that to Carbis Bay. It’s uphill all the way back but nothing too strenuous and there’s always the buses if not feeling up to the walk. The location is ideal if you want to be close enough to access everything on foot but far enough away that it’s quiet back at the apartment. St Ives itself is beautiful, lots of clean sandy beaches and clear blue seas and not too crowded. Good shopping too. Can highly recommend the buses as a way to get out and see more of Cornwall, unlimited travel tickets are great value when compared to parking charges, and save the hassle of squeezing down Cornwall’s narrow roads - which itself is great entertainment on an open topped bus! Can highly recommend St Ives and this apartment in particular.

A lovely garden apartment, with space and was brilliant to be dog friendly. The apartment had everything that was needed (including extra toilet rolls!). The parking space was fantastic which allowed us to easily walk into st Ives. Thank you Jimmy & Dee for a wonderful break we cannot wait to visit again.

Diese Unterkunft hat alles was man braucht , ein Holzofen macht kühlere Abende gemütlich. Er wurde von den freundlichen Vermietern schon fertig zum Anzünden vorbereitet und eine Flasche Wein im Kühlschrank war ein netter Willkommensgruss. Das Ortszentrum ist auf einem Wanderweg schnell zu erreichen.
