Great Location
The cabin was spotless upon arrival and has a wonderful A/C system which was needed at night. With the windows and doors closed, it was very quiet in the cabin. Plenty of hot water and decent water pressure, having 2 college age daughters we never ran out! Even though there are homes around the cabin, they weren't in use the week we were there and since the property is at the end of the road, it felt very private. The location is great is you like to walk and bike. We did both right from the cabin. There is a hiking trail 2 miles away called Shannon Lake and we biked there. The cabin has a great view of the lake from the inside and the deck. We saw eagles daily and loons a couple of times. We brought our paddleboards and the lake was calm the whole week to paddle. Fishing itself was OK. Largemouth, northern, smallmouth, most on the smaller side. One thing to note is that you cannot swim from this dock, too weedy. If you want to kayak, fish, paddleboard, this lake will serve the purpose well. We loved being close to Saint Germain and Sayner. Cathy's Ice Cream and the Corner Store have great ice cream. The paved bike trails aren't that far away, you have to drive to them but once you get to one of the parking lots, you can bike for miles. There are flea markets/craft fairs in the towns different days of the week. Lots of deer and turkey were seen right near the cabin daily. The hammock was a delightful surprise for our daughters, they loved it.

Relaxing and fun!
We enjoyed our stay at Road’s End Retreat. Beautiful views of the lake from the deck, dock, and fire pit (there are 2). The cabin is well stocked and the hammock outside was a fun surprise. The shed has lots of fun things to enjoy - kayaks, fishing poles and nets, horseshoes, etc. The space is nicely private and we enjoyed watching the eagles fly over the lake. Check in and out was easy and we didn’t have any issues with our stay.

Perfect fishing cabin
My wife and I stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary. Very clean and neat, had all the odds and ends so we weren’t running to the store all the time. Great view of the lake, nice charcoal grill and dock was really nice and had a bench to watch the Bob Ross status sunsets. Had a great time.

Amazing sunsets & scenery
The cabin is clean, cute and cozy. It has pretty much everything you need and the boats, swing, dock, fire pit.,and hammock is a great bonus to enjoy. It does have internet and games to use ..but no tv so had to bring our own to plug in to enjoy movies on a rainy day. Cabin is small but has open space for a family of 4 to 5 to enjoy. It does have a slight slope with steps leading to the water so maybe hard for elderly. Semi - private but wooded thru out..quiet area .. Very Nice landscape, scenery, and wildlife to view in the area and many fun activities to do near by. . My family and I had a nice and fun stay up north at the cabin and I'm sure any family would too. :) We look forward to visiting again!

Northwoods cabiny goodness
We enjoyed our stay at the Road's End Retreat. The cabin is in a great location- close to many Northwoods activities. Cabin has great character and the waterfront and campfire site are stunning. Eagles soar overhead and we saw deer on every dog walk. I can't recall the last time I saw so many stars in the sky. The water quality was murky, but this didn't stop my kids and my dog from swimming and we enjoyed kayaking with the provided kayaks. Overall a great and memorable stay. Owner was very responsive to a question that I had on arrival. Highly recommend.

Cozy cabin
Everything was pretty good. House was smaller but plenty of room for the four of us plus a dog. Property had a good amount of space, the pier was new, lots of kayaks, two fire pits. The only thing that would have been nice to have was laundry.

Family time at roads end retreat
Another great week in saint Germain Wisconsin. The Cabin fit our needs nicely with 3 adults 1 toddler and an infant. We enjoyed fishing off the dock in the morning and the panfish were plentiful. The new pier made docking our boat easy and we enjoyed the boat house being so close to the water.

Great Location on a Nice Lake
House is small but perfect for what we needed - house on a lake where the kids could swim and fish if wanted. They caught Largemouth, Smallmouth, Sunfish, Bluegill, Rock Bass and Crappie off the dock - not too shabby! They liked the swimming until they hit some moss - kinda normal for that age and they are use to swimming in a pool. Easy to walk into the lake and not alot of weeds around the dock area but there are some there - i would recommend water shoes. We ended up hitting some beaches around Minocqua and Boulder Junction a few afternoons. The house has double beds so my wife and I just slept in separate beds for the trip which was fine - we knew that going in. For the most part everything was clean except for a few things under one of the kids beds - water bottles, candy wrappers. Also a little dog poop that didn't get picked up outside but we had a pooch with us so that wasn't a big deal for us. The communication with owners was fantastic. They admitted the renters before us were not the cleanest group and voluntarily refunded us $100 for the trouble. An uncommon gesture amongst home owners on the various rental sites - A+ owners. Overall a positive experience and we would return. This would be a great place for 4 snowmobilers over the winter.

Northern get away
Location was perfect for our needs. Enjoyed watching eagles, loons and geese as we enjoyed our meals and coffee on the deck. Caught some panfish off the pier for a fish fry and went kayaking for the first time. Very peaceful spot at the end of the dead end road. Living space would get crowded if the weather was bad and 6+ people needed to be inside. The owner has made nice improvements, but compared to other places we have stayed over the past 5 years it is slightly over priced especially when all the fees are added in. Overall we had a great week.

wonderful cabin in the Northwoods!
First off this is an excellent location. Great lake and the house is on a nice dead end road with the cabin at the end near the water. This is lake front with a nice pier. Quiet secluded but close to town. It's a win win. The owners were extremely helpful and the house was well stocked. Very clean and loved the deck overlooking The lake! The best part was the ability to take our dog with us. They are DOG friendly which is a must for my wife and I when we rent. Honestly if your thinking about renting the cabin you won't be sorry.
