"We were always happy to return at night to this comfortable, homely and spacious lodge. Loved the light that greeted us in the morning from the skylights and large sliding glass doors leading to both the front and back porches. Very private and quiet surroundings led to a good night’s sleep each night."

"Great central location from which to explore the Borders region from Bamburgh to Melrose ; from the Alnwick Gardens to Edinburgh. After a great day exploring to return to our quiet countryside cottage for a relaxing glass while watching the sunset over the hills as the the horses enjoying a late night snack in the paddock and the swifts and bats doing tricks was wonderful . "Our stay was in stunning setting. Recommend getting there before dark as it is set back but then you are sitting in a postcard. We had a delicious lemon loaf and well equipped kitchen and home over the holidays. Thank you Hilary!"
