It is not often the opportunity of holidaying in such a picturesque historic castle arrives but to enjoy the views of the inner castle and grounds from your windows makes this location truly memorable.

The comfortable accommodation is accessed through its own private front door and is laid out over three floors. The front door opens into large utility entrance room with Belfast sink with stairs leading to the first floor on which you find a double bedroom and bathroom with separate shower. On the third floor there is a lovely sitting room with triple aspect windows with views to the sea and along the front of the castle, a large double bedroom with ensuite large bathroom with a separate shower area and fully equipped kitchen.

Perhaps Not for Everyone . For us, the Best
Using GPS makes it possible to find Caerhays. Without it could be a challenge. The setting - a real castle and operating large estate farm, appealed to me from a farm in my youth and a career in a related industry. Joined by friends of 60 years the 2 bedroom and two bathrooms on different floors, appropriately called 'the Rabbit Warren', proved perfect. Our experience with Caerhays Holidays staff was right on. Restaurants are a bit inconvenient especially after dark, but the Warren kitchen is modern and equiped with one's every need. You bring the grub. The bottle of fine wine was a pleasing gesture. Hiking the coastal cliff walks requires good boots and a reasonable amount of energy. The scenery's outstanding Cornwall. For day trips port Isaac, St.Michaels Mount are within about an hour and a half distant. The ferry from St.Maws to Falmouth is well worth the venture as with visiting the Maritime museum.

Amazing property in perfect location
Who doesn’t want to stay in a castle? And a five minute walk to the beach - what more could you want. Everything about this property lived up to our expectations and was so peaceful to be staying in these beautiful gardens. We even got to witness the annual clay pigeon shoot on he estate from our windows!

The Rabbit Warren
We had a wonderful time staying in the Rabbit Warren at Caerhays Castle. It was comfortable and cosy, with everything we could have needed. The castle staff were friendly and accommodating. It was a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach, surrounded by equally beautiful Cornish countryside. I could happily have stayed there forever and actually shed tears when it was time to leave. A wonderful place to stay in every way.
