You may be planning to experience one of the many annual festivals that Mevagissey proudly hosts, such as Feast Week, Sea Shanty or Toshers Race but whenever you come, our village will fill your heart with joy and make returning time and time again a must.
Mevagissey has great public transport links and is ideally situated for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer. The Eden Project is 21 mins by car (9 miles) and further along the coast is the beautiful town of Fowey 30 mins by car (13 miles). Alternatively why not take the Ferry to Fowey from Mevagissey harbour! and hopefully spot the odd dolphin or two! Local sandy beaches and coves are abundant, the nearest being Portmellon, a few minutes drive away. Pentewan Sands is a similar distance with great watersport facilities/restaurant/bar. Discover the North Coast and the magnificent Fistral Beach at Newquay is just a 45 minute drive (22 miles). We live locally and can impart some little gems for you to explore.
