This is my 10th year exploring Florida each winter. St Augustine has become my favorite place. I have always wanted to rent this place but it was always booked. I got lucky this year and was able to stay for 10 glorious days. My first morning I got to experience the most astonishing sunrise! The view, the birds, the breezes, the park, the beaches so close by! Definitely a paradise. The owners were wonderful. I can’t wait to come back!
The condo was perfect! Had everything we needed! Spent most of our days sightseeing in Downtown St.Augustine but always looked forward to waking up & coming home to the view from back screen porch!
The property, the view, the location and the owners! Five stars for all. Julie and Chrissy could not have been more responsive. Anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful place with no worries needs to stay here!
My family and I have stayed in St. Augustine many times and this spot was our favorite! It was super accommodating for everyone. We felt at home and on vacation at the same time. The rooms were comfortable, beautifully decorated and the view was fantastic of the marsh!
We were so pleased with the accommodations. The owners thought of everything from a closet stocked with beach towels to a detailed book of instructions. The bathrooms even had shampoo and body wash dispensers. It was cleaned meticulously. Check in was a breeze. We look forward to staying here again!
We usually camp in the mountains of NC every summer - but this year we decided to do something different - and I am so glad we did! The condo was the perfect place for us to relax and also see the sights in St. Augustine. Close enough to make day trips into town to be a tourist - but far enough out of the 'city' for peace and tranquility. Julie and Chris were great communicators from the moment I made the reservation and they really have thought of everything you'd need for a short or lengthy stay. And the view - I could go on all day about that! I woke up early even though I was on vacation just to drink my coffee and watch the sun come up each morning! I'm really hoping to be able to come back and visit again!
We stayed for 6 weeks and no complaints. The place is stocked with everything you can think of. Sitting in the living room was like sitting at my own house, very comfortable. The internet/tv was exceptional, no problems with this. The back porch had great view especially in the morning when the sun cam up. No plastic chairs here, they had very comfortable chairs to sit on. If you're looking for a peaceful place with great views I would recommend this as a place to stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed this cozy condo with a lovely view over the river/intracoastal waterway. The residential neighborhood was quiet and great for walking/jogging, especially with a club nearby including a pier overlooking the river as well as a loop trail (restrooms available). Check-in and check-out were both a breeze. Communication with the hosts was delightful. Easy access to historic St. Augustine and the surrounding areas via US 1 and I-95 plus stores/pharmacies in close proximity. Great value for the price. So glad we found this!
Hi, stay was overall good. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked for a vrbo. No extra cost to park and plenty of room. Note the listing did say it was a second floor unit, but it did not say there was no elevator. So if anyone has a problem walking or carrying luggage up stairs this is not the place for you. Also, listing states it sleeps 6, this is true if you use the pull out couch in the livingroom. But there are no real curtains/shades in the room so the sun will be coming in at whatever time sunrise is when you visit. No problems if you're in one of the bedrooms. Water pressure was good and bathrooms are well stocked with soap and shampoo/conditioner for straight hair. As usual, if you're a curly girl, bring your own products. It was an easy drive to Old Town, about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Went to Casa Benedetto's for dinner- was fantastic! Good Southern Italian food and the house made desserts were amazing, the tiramisu and cannoli were real standouts! Overall a good place to stay-if you can do stairs.
Julie and Chrissy have an exceptional oasis. The bed was extremely comfortable and the property is equipped with all amenities included. Sitting on the screened in balcony watching the sunrise was a special treat.
When we had to change our original travel plans due to hurricane Ian they could not have been more helpful and accommodating in rescheduling us. We would definitely recommend this treasure of a property in St Augustine Florida.
Thank you for a memorable stay.
We absolutely loved the outer neighborhood of The Conquistador condominiums, which is St. Augustine Shores. It has a sunny, happy feeling to it. My son really enjoyed fishing off The Conquistador pool.
And the Conquistador property is no different. The landscape feels tropical, and the views from their pool location with intracoastal views was stunning. We spent most of our time there.
The condo was clean, airy, and bright, but also cozy and homey feeling, and was stocked with all of our families needs, just like our time share we usually stay at.
The intracoastal views from the screened in porch had breathtaking sunrises. We stayed 4th of July weekend, and we really enjoyed the peaceful sounds of the boats whizzing by, and we were even fortunate enough to catch a fireworks display from the comfort of our condo. The marsh birds are also beautiful. Everything was excellent! We fell in love with St. Augustine all over again.
We have two grandsons in St. Augustine and frequently fly out from Colorado to see them. My son's house is not quite big enough for us and we have stayed at VRBO on the island but this time we thought we'd try the Shores. The condo is perfect for the two of us. It has been updated and the bed is comfortable. It is a quiet neighboorhood without all the noise we had on the island and A1A. Landscape is beautiful with a full view of the intercoastal waterway. It was July, so we couldn't sit out on the screened in porch for long, but if it was fall or winter we would be out there all the time. It is on the second floor so if you have disabilities walking that may be an issue for you. The unheated pool is just around the corner and is well kept. There is a heated pool further down for winter guests. It has a full kitchen with dinning table and stools. It has two bedrooms and two baths and washer and dryer. Overall, we had a great time and will try and book another stay when we come back in the cooler temps.
We wish we could have extended our trip. There’s so much to explore in this area.
Our hosts were wonderful. Condo was well stocked with anything we needed. We look forward to staying here again.
We stayed at in Julie and Chrissy's unit at the Conquistador Condos over the Labor Day weekend. It was super clean, tastefully decorated, quiet, and comfortable. The unit was well stocked with all that we needed. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay for an additional night.
The view of the Intracoastal Waterway from the balcony of the unit was spectacular. I watched the sunrise each morning while drinking my coffee. I saw loads of birds and two deer along the edge of the property.
The complex is very well maintained with beautiful landscaping. The neighbors were friendly and helpful.
Thank you, Julie and Chrissy, for a wonderful stay. It was just what we needed to rest and restore. I hope that we can return soon.
