This property was undergoing a major renovation comma as soon as I made the reservation and could not cancel it through Expedia. I got an email saying that the property was under major renovation. It should’ve said in the listing it was under a major renovation. My biggest issue is there was no lock on the door from the room to the hallway. It had been taken off and not put back. The room was clean and the desk clerks were fine.

This was a nice and quiet hotel!! We had a nice stay. Unfortunately, there were a bunch of parts of the inside of the hotel that were closed during our stay because of construction, but that can happen anywhere! We liked our room. It was big and comfortable. But it was a bit dark. Especially near the bathroom vanity, there was only a small lamp. Also, unfortunately, they charge you $10 a night for parking, something that we did not realize until we were checking in and had to sign that agreement. The hotel is in a wonderful location, surrounded by different kinds of restaurants. We recommend this hotel as it is only 10 to 15 minutes from the historic center of St. Augustine!!

The hotel was under construction and myself or my friends who also stayed there were not made aware. The rooms seemed incomplete and had little water pressure. Work was started early in the morning (for obvious reason) but again, if I was aware I would have gone elsewhere. The workers used the luggage carts to carry title and other material leaving none for guest to use.I would not recommend staying here until the construction is done.

This renovation for the room we were given was not even completed. It was dirty. We actually cleaned it by asking the cleaning lady for a rag and cleaner. The guy that was there when we checked in on Thursday was very hard to understand. He spoke way too fast and he could have had a better attitude. To top it off they charged my credit card twice for my stay which I have not resolved yet.

The property is currently under renovation. But our room was lovely and spacious and quiet at night when we would return. The pool was open and looked nice but the weather was too cool for it. It is extremely close to the beach. Room has fridge and microwave which was handy. Plenty of things in the area and was quiet at night. The old historic area is an a 10-12 min drive away. The staff was friendly. Rhonda was helpful and great. The price was cheaper than other hotels in the area which is prob because of the renovations. It saved us $ and we were happy with our stay. Plenty of parking which is $10 a day. Can’t wait to see what it will look like after it’s all done.

No lighting whatsoever in the bathroom. Just a plug in lamp!!! No way to see to do hair or makeup. So odd. Very poor quality renovations. Light swiches didnt even control the lights- we had to inscrew and screw in bulb to turn main wall light on and off. Only barely lukewarm water in shower. We shivered. When we told the staff how bad it was they only gave us $10 off!!

The staff were very nice and accommodating. They were going through renovations so it was dusty and not as clean as it normally would’ve been. I was interested in the restaurant inside but it was closed. I just wished a notification was sent before we arrived. The view from our balcony (3rd floor) was amazing. Honestly, once renovations are complete my husband and I would love to stay again to check them out at full potential.

We weren’t advised that it was under construction until we paid for the room. The front desk staff the night of check in was a bit rude, and there was a lot of commotion about 2 am in the hall where it seemed that the neighbors were looking to fight as there was banging on a door, then upon the person opening someone in the hall told someone else to beat his a$$ and the arguing continued for a few hours.

IAs much as I understand the property was undergoing renovations - the room itself was "renovated" and was terrible. The workmanship was sloppy. The shower was lukewarm and no pressure. The bedsheets were stained. I hope Hilton will come and see the place before they put their stamp on this being a Hilton Hotel.
