"Overall it was a good experience, and wonderful that it was pet-friendly. Loved having the fire going! The dog could get under the house (beneath the deck) so that was challenging to get him to come out, and not to eat the seeds/nuts in the garden. One area of improvement could be to block it off. It would also be good if some spare linen and/or washing detergent could be supplied as there was only one towel per person."

Went for lunch on the Sunday too and it was delicious and the staff just wonderful. Made us feel so welcome. I really cannot recommend Soumah wines enough. It was devine from start to end. I just hope to be able to come back. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Franklin cottage. It’s just what you need for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne. The cottage is neat and tidy and offers everything you need. It’s well appointed and offers beautiful views of the surrounding trees. "

"Visited in winter, too cold to meet the wombat but it was very beautiful. Despite the chill we spent hours on the back porch watching the view. Fed the parrots, and even had a possum hang out on the deck with us two nights in a row. Very clean, and very well stocked. Will most likely be back!"

"A perfect experience. The check in process was seemless and communication from the host was clear, prompt and helpful. The cottage is clean, well kept with, completely functional and very homely. The location is absolutely stunning, with amazing views of the valley, surrounding wineries and ranges. "

"I stayed here after my wedding night, the check in could be a lot better as we did not receive the key code and had to stand outside the property at 11pm calling for the code, other than that it was a beautiful cottage, great views and peaceful. The drive way is extremely steep so a sedan might struggle. "
