"Set in the grounds of the May Day insane asylum, this lovely hotel and its attentive, hard working staff was a great place to stay. The restaurant and bar area were great, the hotel has a warm cozy feel, the rural views and the tour of the old asylum were a bonus and the gorgeous grounds made for a peaceful visit. We will be back. "

"This is a lovely place to stay, very welcoming and so convenient with just a easy stroll to shops and cafes. They were even very accommodating when we decided to stay an extra night after already stayed 3 that we didn't have to change rooms and even gave us a discount on the extra night. Would definitely stay here again."

"Staff were amazing and room was spacious and clean. My only concern was the shower. As it was in a bath, and the bath was quite small. I found it very concerning that the water spout was longer than average and stuck out way too far. Someone could really hurt themselves, if not already if not careful going in and out of the shower."

"So happy we picked this place to stay! The town has wonderful energy and arriving at the motel was easy to get to. The best checkin process with such a lovely greeting and parking and our room was also effortless. Surrounded by greenery the morning of with the sunlight coming through it is definitely a wonderful stay. Feels like Bali with all the plant life. Older room but immaculate, maybe that’s why it feels so homely. Definitely staying here in the future!!!"
