Based on reviews, I expected more, but it was fine. The front desk service started strong—two suited-up staffers (a bit much for a 3-star) were eager to explain everything. Funny thing, though—that was the last time I saw them. I went through the lobby 6-8 times, and checkout was just a drop box.
The one elevator was very slow, but the stairs were surprisingly walkable—worth using if you're on a lower floor. I stayed in a suite for two nights, then moved to a standard room. Both had LVP floors, which felt cleaner than carpet. Beds were fine, but the standard room was compact, with seating limited to the desk chair or bed. Cleanliness was good, though signs of wear showed—chipped vanities, a stained molding spot, and oddly textured walls (wallpaper? bad drywall?). Renovations are in progress, which is promising.
Breakfast was average—not the worst, but far from the best for this class of hotel. The dining room felt undersized, especially on weekends.
A highlight: the adjacent Delaney House restaurant. Pricey, but huge portions and excellent quality. Suites have microwaves for leftovers, but standard rooms don’t, and the breakfast room lacks one.
Overall, just okay. Could be better, but could be worse.
