We had a great experience at Oak Meadow Farmhouse. Plenty of room and lots of beds to accommodate our large group. Communicate with Dan was great and we appreciated his flexibility. Thanks again!!
Dan's farmhouse in the MN countryside is massive, affordable, and clean. I highly recommend it to anyone that needs a space for a large group of people!
We had a wonderful time at Dan's place. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the space. Thanks for dropping off some extra cooking utensils, they were greatly appreciated.
We booked this property to do our annual FFA officer summer training. We were a group of 11 with mixed genders so having several seperate rooms to divide the group into was perfect. The facilities were very up to date but the house still had the feel of an old farm house which our group loved. The host was very friendly and helpful.
There were pleanty of beds and rooms to choose from. House was clean. Kitchen is small but i was impressed with the amenities he provided. We enjoyed grilling, seeing the cows, roasting marshmallows and biking on the nearby trails. My friends arrived before me and said the owner was very nice.
Visited 4 Daughters and other area establishments with 2 other couples. Enjoyed the farm overnight rather than having to drive back to the cities. Plenty of beds to go around...would suggest having a couple comfy couches to lounge in rather than park benches. Very nicely stocked kitchen! A great place if looking just for sleeping arrangements. Easily found. Dan was very attentive!
Oak Meadow Farmhouse was a nice place to stay. We wanted someplace large enough to sleep 11 women and yet within driving distance of hiking and bicycling trails. We had both.
The house was musty smelling when we arrived but opening windows took care of that. We enjoyed playing games around the large table, walking around the grounds, and sitting outside enjoying the breeze.
Dan stopped by to answered questions and to see if we needed anything which was nice. The home had what we needed for preparing meals and sleeping.
It will be nice for future guests to have upholstered chairs and couches in the living room rather than wood benches.
This spacious farmhouse was great for our family's overnight stay. We had plenty of bedrooms and beds. The third-floor sleeping area is beautifully done with windows affording a lovely view of the countryside. We were pleased to discover two bathrooms as the online listing indicated only one. The kitchen was not as well equipped as other properties we've rented, but was certainly adequate for our needs.
We enjoyed exploring the grounds, especially admiring the beautiful old oak trees.
Oak Meadow Farmhouse is definitely in a good location for those visiting the many attractions in this part of the state.
Dan was a great host. He was respectful of our privacy, especially when the internet went down (on ISP's end) and the technician needed to come in. We had 20 people at one point in our stay and we had plenty of room in the house and the property. One bit of advice is to bring coolers for drinks if you have a large group since there is one full-sized fridge that fills up with food quickly. Dan was very generous, offering a hay ride and bringing over a couple dozen hamburger patties from cattle raised on his family farm. The whole family was impressed and we will definitely stay again next year.
Our stay was amazing! We had so much fun! There was a power surge the first night that took out the router for the wifi. The kids thought it was going to be the end of the world but they actually had so much fun being able to enjoy nature and hanging out with family so it was a delightful surprise! (Router is being replaced just so furture people know). Dan was amazing and made it up to us by taking us on a gator/hayride with beautiful views. He was easy to get ahold and willing to help in any way possible. Everyone enjoyed our stay so much that we are alreay talking about coming back! I will recommend Dan's property to anyone who says they want to stay in the area!
