"The Houseboat Villa Nautica is not for everyone. My wife and I are 70 and enjoy staying in unique accommodations such as the tented camps in Kenya. We are self-sufficient and are comfortable living out of our two carry-on bags. "Very clean and nice hotel, and affordable. Staff is courteous, helpful and efficient. Good and plentiful breakfast with lots of tables and seats. Lots of cold and hot food (scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns, etc.), good quality breakfast food. The breakfast area is spacious and kept clean. The three of us stayed at the four bed room. Beds are comfortable and bed linens are clean. Shower room is separate from the toilet room, each has a door for privacy. Shower room has a spacious shower space with good water pressure, and a sink. Toilet room has its own tiny sink. The area is nice and peaceful, next to the river boardwalk, which leads to Old Town . The old town Mainz Cathedral is a must visit place, breathtaking with a beautiful courtyard. We visited during the riverside summer fair, my child enjoyed the many carnival rides, there are drinks, beers and wine, food and endless stalls selling local goods. So much fun!"
