"What a gem!! Bergamo was a half-hearted, 1-day visit we added to our trip since we were flying into Milan in the evening & yet we were SO pleasantly surprised! The old town, which is walking distance from La Valleta, is beautiful with a nice handful of shops & restaurants. "We stayed 2 nights at this lovely hotel. Full of character, warm and cosy on chilly weekend in March. The staff were friendly and helpful and were made to feel very welcome especially by Massimo on our arrival which was quite late evening. The small town of Calolziocorte is very pleasant and the location of the hotel by the river is lovely.
