We had a wonderful stay at Urszula & Fabio’s place. They met us at checkin and made us feel very welcome. Excellent accommodations and outstanding hospitality - it felt like home away from home. Very comfortable bedrooms and well stocked kitchen. Location was ideal for Tuscany - easy access to Siena, Florence and other small towns. Hosts provided excellent recommendations for town to visit, local restaurants and other attractions. Pool was very refreshing too! We loved our time here and feel like Ursula and Fabio treated us like family - we will miss them.

A girl friend get-a-way in tranquility!!!
Beautiful marriage of historic Tuscan Farmhouse and Euro Chic. The owners, Urzsula and Fabio have become adoptive parents.... what charm and warm-hearts!!!
What a nice place to stay. You are in the country, but only a few minutes from Siena, and an easy drive to many of the other great things to do in Tuscany. We used this convenient location as our home base for day trips to many locations around Tuscany. The owners are really nice people, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They offered many nice suggestions, and even led us to couple of excellent local restaurants and introduced us to the owners.
We chose this beautiful property based on the pictures and reviews, and we were pleasantly surprised to find everything even more spectacular than we anticipated. Our hosts could not have been more gracious, the house is beautiful, an amazing mix of ancient and modern. Architecturally, this home has been designed with cate and quality details at every turn. The pool was wonderful, we enjoyed it every day. I’m trying to reorganize my life so that I can live in Sovicille for a year.
The property was beautiful and the apartment was very cozy and the bedrooms were large and well layed out. It was great that each of the two couples had their own washroom. We were able to cook meals very easily, the kitchen was well equipped. The outdoor terrace was lovely and the pool(although not really useable when we were there) was very nice. Our hosts were very gracious and always happy to help and/or suggest great places for us to see. Fabio also gave us the best suggested driving routes for where we were going. We loved this spot as it was a car ride to many beautiful places we wanted to see. We would highly recommend this rental.

Comfortable and fully equipped. Most relaxing.
Great location to visit Siena and many interesting parts of Tuscany. We saw lots of Siena, including the Palio, plus Lucca, Pienza, San Gimignano, San Quirico, Greve in Chianti and Montalcino. Other days spent relaxing by the pool, which was delightfully quiet and refreshing.
Owners, Fabio and Ursula, were generous and attentive, providing home-grown produce - tomatoes, olive oil and Chianti - as well as good advice re. places to visit.
We had a wonderful family holiday with our teenage daughters.
We had a wonderful stay here. The house was lovely, kitchen had the essentials we needed, and the room and bathroom were recently updated and great! We would sleep with the shutters opened and awaken to the lovely view and sounds of birds chirping. The hosts are so kind and generous. Fabio even had us join him in his vineyard to harvest grapes and showed us how to make wine! The setting is very quiet in a quaint setting. Easy access to Siena, only a short 15-20 minute drive. Thank you Urszla and Fabio for allowing us to stay! We hope to be back someday!
My family and I stayed here for three nights while touring the Tuscan countryside. We were looking for something rustic, almost old world, but with modern amenities. We found it here. The kitchen has elements of a kitchen from decades or centuries ago, but modern appliances on which to prepare food. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very modern, luxurious and the perfect contradiction to the kitchen area. We were able to experience life in the country but with modern amenities. The property is located about 20 minutes outside of Siena which made it a perfect launch spot to visit surrounding areas and cities. We loved our stay and Daniella was a perfect host.

Wonderful Stay
We had a wonderful stay.
Urszula And Fabio were lovely hosts, with Fabio bringing bringing us figs, tomatoes, the best mozzarella and his own produced wine. Also mustn't forget the pomodoro sauce that we watched being made with Fabio's special pomodoro machine.
The property was really nice and well equipped also the pool was a very good and a decent size, much needed during the heatwave we found ourselves in.
The location is good with Siena a short drive away and good access to the Tuscan countryside all around. There some nice restaurants nearby also. For stocking up there is a co-op not too far away which Fabio took us to after we dumped our bags on arrival.
Thank you Ursula and Fabio for making our stay such a great one. Loved it.

Friendly welcome, beautiful countryside
We enjoyed our week at San Giusto and were sad to leave. Fabio and Urszula were excellent hosts. This felt like an authentic farm stay, but with a pool all to ourselves. We enjoyed Fabio's wine and vegetables from the garden. Siena is fantastic and ideally placed for a train trip to Florence. You can park in the station car park for 2 euros all day. Use the same car park for any trip to Siena. Fabio gave us excellent tips for other places to go, including an evening concert at the local church. We hired bikes from Duo Route just outside nearby Rosia. There are lots of nearby tracks to bike, walk or run. Thank you to Fabio and Urszula.

What a treat!
Wow! You are located in an area of Tuscany with many of the walled cities within a short driving distance. Outside your door their is a pomegranate tree and we were presented with a delicious bottle of wine that was made on the premises by our host Fabio. The countryside is absolutely beautiful. Your hosts, Fabio and Urszela are very gracious. Fabio gave us many ideas for your day trips and he even accompanied us on our trip to Sienna and showed us sites that we would not have thought to see on our own. It was a very memorable trip. Hopefully we will be able to return some day and we would love to stay with them again!

Fabulous Fabio!
What a privilege to have stayed in Fabio's and Urszula's 300 year old farmhouse, olive garden and vineyard. From the first moment to the last they made us feel welcome and treated us like family. The apartment was clean, spacious and charming. Their home is a labor of love; ten acres of countless fruit trees, gardens, orchards, artifacts, and flowers. Nestled in the quiet commune of San Giusto the farm is perfectly situated to explore the magnificence of Tuscany.
This was our only Home Away experience where the owners were onsite and I found their knowledge and guidance a godsend. Thank you for steering our ship.
Grazie amici!

quiet and gorgeous property
Stayed her for one week with another couple we were travelling with. Plenty of room for 2 couples-each had separate baths and bedrooms. Perfect. It was a bit too cool to use the pool but we loved where there was privacy and the pool area was stunning. Fabio was our host as well as Urzula and they were both helpful and around to help us with our accommodations. The kitchen was easy too cook in and we even hired a chef to teach us Italian cooking. We were close to Siena and travelled by car during the day to see the sights. If you don't want to rent a larger villa that has other guests in the apartments, choose this place for privacy. The grounds were filled with herbs, vegetables, flowers, grapes,, trees... The inside is updated for modern conveniences too. Loved it !!!

One of the best stays of our lives!
From the minute we drove up the driveway to the farmhouse to the moment we had to drive away we were taken aback by the beauty of the location and the kindness of the people who own this home. We stayed in this home with our 21 year old college student daughter who was on a break from her study abroad in Rome. We were met by Fabio who turned out to be one of the kindest men we have ever met. He took us into Sienna and showed us around, made us two meals (without asking), wrote down suggestions of towns to visit, brought us umbrellas one morning before we left for our excursions, etc.... His daughter, Daniela was extremely helpful as well. The farmhouse was lovely. It had everything we needed. We absolutely loved the charm and warmth. If we could, we would go back every year. The pictures do not do it justice, it's absolutely breathtaking. Thank you for opening up your home to us.

Quintessential Tuscan Charm
We loved our stay at the Farmhouse. The location was a close drive to Siena, and easy drive to get to. The farmhouse is charming in rustic style, but with some modern, well appointed features particularly in the bathrooms and kitchen. We enjoyed a dip in the pool also. We were only there 2 nights, but would be glad to return and stay for a much longer time. But the best thing was our hosts, Flavio and Urzsala. We arrived very late at night, without having had any dinner. After helping unload our car, Flavio drove with my husband and son to find us some food to bring back (found a local pizza place). Next morning he brought us a wonderful selection of fruits and baked items for breakfast. The following evening, he made dinner reservations for us at a lovely restaurant and then drove with us (in a separate car) so he could introduce us to the owners of the restaurant. They shared stories, showed us their cats and garden, and all in all were delightful.
When you travel far from home you want to see something completely different, to have an experience so unique that it truly feels like a vacation. That’s how we felt while staying at this apartment about an hour outside Rome. To arrive you must drive past large fields of sunflowers and ancient Tuscan villas built from limestone over one thousand years ago.
The apartment is a beautiful mix of modern with hints of antiquity of a bygone era. Large bedroom windows with full length screens allow you to open the windows wide at night allowing the cool breeze to waft in and cool you down without the noise and artificial feeling of air conditioning. We had perfectly comfortable nights rest with a sky full of stars to fall asleep under.
In the backyard there is a private pool surrounded by Sangiovese vines and a simple lean to for shade. Comfortable lounge chairs and pads make this a remarkably serene and spectacular amenity in the heat of the summer day. A perfect way to cool down before a siesta or a place to come after dinner to enjoy the smells and sounds of Tuscany.
The hosts are an amazing pair who are really living their dream out loud. Fabio and Ursala are constantly working on their farm whether tending to their organic vegetable garden, pruning their vineyard or offering gentle advice on where to eat or see while in San Guisti. You will find no better or more hospitable hosts anywhere in Italy, that I am sure. The property is their life work (and dream) of these two people and we were privileged that they allowed us to share some time at their little Tuscan paradise. Their dedication to being off the grid with a full solar system, organically farmed property is a wonderful testament of how to live simply but more richly than most others. We hope to return one day, maybe during harvest when we can see the bounty from all their hard work. Should you decide to stay here. you will have an experience like no other. Enjoy our little secret.

Frank and Urzula made our stay feel as if we were family!!
We cannot express how greatful we are to have met Frank and Urzula. This was the last leg of our 20th Anniversary trip to Italy, after visiting four countries. The home was as beautiful as the scenery, but it pails in comparison to the kindness of Frank and Urzula. They spent a great deal of time getting to know us, learning of our travels thus far and asking how we had hoped to spend the remainder of our trip. They showed us around their property and shared fresh grapes, tomatoes and peaches with us. We saw the antique oak wine barrel in their wine cellar that is more than 100 years old. When they learned that this was an anniversary trip, they had roses waiting on the gorgeous farm table of our apartment and a bottle of Franks homemade wine as our gift. When I said that I was hoping for a quiet restaurant where we could enjoy fresh pasta and Florentine steak - Frank knew of the perfect place. Frank made the reservation and had us follow him to the restaurant for personal introductions to the staff. The next day, we ventured out to find a spot to enjoy coffee and pastry and came across a farmers market where we purchased fresh sliced meet and cheese. We returned to the house to cut up fresh tomatoes from Urzula's garden and goodies we had purchased, to enjoy along with Frank's olive oil and yet another bottle of wine. This is exactly how we had always envisioned our time in Italy! When Frank learned that my husband had been in the US Army, he took him for a ride to a special place nearby that has historical relevance - A bridge the US Army had staged their tanks to penetrate the battle. Prior to our departure, we made sure to purchase additional wine and olive oil as this was something unique to Frank and Urzula's home. As we were driving away on our final day, my husband and I both felt as if we were leaving a piece of our family behind. Looking in our rear view window, our hearts were full, as we felt we were meant to meet Frank and Urzula, at this time and on this trip. We WILL without a doubt, return to Sovicille net year, specifically to the home the Frank and Urzula. Only next time, our family will be with us.

Hospitality Above & Beyond
My husband and I spent a month with Fabio & Urszula and didn't want to leave! We can't possibly do their hospitality justice in this review, but will try our best. The night we arrived it was around 9pm and we were not prepared to cook dinner for the evening. Fabio and Urszula saved us and cooked us pasta! (As well as some delicious wine Fabio produces their and sells in the area). Far beyond their duties as hosts. But this was only the beginning. From showing up at the door with roasted chestnuts, apples from the tree, fresh bread from the bakery, wine, olive oil and just their smiling faces often, we grew to enjoy their company greatly. They keep the apartment very clean and even changed our bedding and towels for us very often. The space is lovely and we enjoyed it greatly. We cooked in often, just because we enjoyed being there. The area is great for going for walks. We even walked to a great winery down the road called Poggiarello a couple times during our stay for tastings and even a 4 course meal one night. Fabio spent time with us, taking us around the countryside and into Siena. We were fortunate enough to be there for the Palio, and Fabio took us into Siena for the entire day! From start to finish he knew exactly where we should be to experience each part of the event. It was simply unforgettable. He had fabulous meals in the countryside per Fabio's recommendations as well as in Siena. Fabio remembers WWII and took us to a couple of very meaningful sites in the area. We greatly enjoyed this. He also took us to see his friend's heard of pigs! We ventured to two of the area's hot springs and many of the hill towns and wineries. Besides spending a lot of time in Siena and around Sovicille, we especially enjoyed the Monalcino Area. Recommend checking out some of the Brunello wineries as well as Castello Di Ama for good Chianti Classico and a fabulous lunch. We took the train to Florence several times as it was very cheap and easy. You will of course want a car to fully enjoy the area as we did. Fabio's olive oil is perhaps the best we've ever tasted, and we are in the food industry specifically dealing with olive oil. We got to go see the process of the olives being pressed as we were there during the olive harvest. As you can see, there is much to do using Podere San Giusto as your base. We are so grateful for the time we had. We truly consider our time with Fabio and Urszula an immense blessing. You will not find better hosts in Italy.
Our family loved our stay. Fabio & his family were very understanding when our flight delayed 3 hrs & we arrived in late evening. Beautiful setting in a hamlet with a beautiful view. Had great recommendations for restaurants & what towns to visit. I don't normally write reviews but this stay was worth it.
