This adorable sea side cottage located on the pebble beach of SW Harbor is literally over hanging the water at high tide. A second floor master king suite with private balcony, bath, wet bar and refrigerator has a magnificent view of the harbor and mountains of Acadia National Park. The second bedroom is a queen suite with private entrance to the first floor balcony. Just 2 miles to Seawall Beach of Acadia, an easy bike ride or walk for many. Some may not leave the cottage at all and just watch the boating activity from the large relaxing decks. If you do explore the island, you'll find many beautiful hikes, shops, restaurants, golf, museums, cinemas and more .

Wonderful property on the quiet side of the island
This is a truly stunning property. It is right on the water and you could not ask for better views. The property was very well maintained and clean. A perfect stay on the quiet side of the island.

We have stayed here twice. The home is beautiful, the view is gorgeous and the host is easy to contact. A fantastic, comfortable place to stay outside Acadia and Bar Harbor!

Unique harbor location
Beatiful house right on the harbor. No other neighbors and right on the water. You also get to watch boats go in and out all day. Within driving distance of many great places.

Great spot for small group
Ideal for two couples or some sibs to get away. I'm particular and the kitchen is very nice and well supplied. As are the bedrooms, the bathrooms (excellent water pressure!), the whole place. Very comfortable and we'll be coming back!

We had a great time at your house. The area is quiet and quaint. Our boys enjoyed waking up to the beautiful views off the deck. The only negative is that we couldn't find the kayaks to use and the downstairs bedroom was very hot.

Perfect little mount desert island cottage
My family and I stayed at the Seashore cottage for our trip to Acadia. We enjoyed the views of the mountains and Somes Sound and even saw Loons and a bald eagle. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Perfect for a family of four! Would definitely stay again!

Stunning views!
Clean, new and comfortable with gorgeous views of the harbor. Be sure you can navigate a spiral staircase to the primary bedroom before renting…although there’s a lovely bedroom also in the first floor.

We like travels, this house is the best! we were very surprised how lovely is this place, beautiful harbor view from bed rooms and large balcony, interior is full furnished and decorated, super clean and comfortable, have everything ready for guests. we wish we can have few more days not going anywhere, just stay in house.

The property was extremely clean. I thoroughly enjoyed the Ocean, Tide Changes and the working pier. Close to everything on Mount Desert. I will stay there in the future, if the occasion arises.

The house was so clean and the kitchen was stocked with all the items to cook for the week. The views from all the rooms were amazing. The king was bed was so comfortable as it felt like sleeping on clouds. Speakers throughout the house were nice added touch as well. I would recommend this house to anyone!!!

Wonderful Rental
The property was perfectly located, it was immaculate and the amenities were extensive. It had everything you could have wanted. We were there just before hurricane Lee and watching the Hinkley crews remove the boats from the water was entertaining. we look forward to staying there again. Perfect house on the quiet side.
We love staying on the “ quiet side” of Acadia. We found this house on VRBO and it was perfect. The house is so nice and the deck overlooking the harbor was amazing. The has worked out great for two couples. Having one bedroom and bath downstairs and a huge living space upstairs with it’s own deck allowed us to enjoy a fantastic week while giving us plenty of personal space and privacy. The washer and dryer was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

As soon as you walk in you are in love with this house. Can’t fault anything about it. We did have a wifi issue (boo Spectrum!) but convenient accommodation was made and the cellular service was great (we use Verizon). Definitely recommend.

Great Place to Stay
This property redefines oceanfront. At high tide the water surrounds 3/4’s of the house. The house is beautiful and in a great location! The owners were very attentive and helpful. We loved it here. Only thing to note is that the property is next to a working boatyard. Work can start as early as 7:00 AM. For us it was really fascinating sitting on the deck and watching boats being lifted out of the water and put back in. Always something happening!

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday at Seashore Cottage in Southwest Harbor and could not have been happier. Working with Stacy was a pleasure and the house was spotless when we arrived. Breathtaking views of the harbor and mountains and we really enjoyed watch the boats go buy. The house is finished beautifully - wonderful walk-in showers, modern appliances, well equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds and furniture. Flat screen tvs in living room and bedrooms - everything worked great. Location is excellent, just minutes from downtown Southwest Harbor. We will defiintely be back!

Review of Seashore Cottage
The home is beautiful. However there were 2 issues. Both TV's were hard to figure out how to get them on and how to change channels. It shouldn't be set up to be so difficult. The towels upstairs were sour smelling; like when they are left sitting too long in the washer and they start to sell like mildew. That's all I got.

Great View of the Harbor
A beautiful location right on the waterfront in Southwest Harbor with a great view looking across toward Somes Sound. The house is as advertised and in beautiful condition. I have stayed at the location twice ( first time was before it was totally renovated and upgraded by the current owner). The only thing to be aware of is that the house sits right next to the Hinckley boatyard, that is a pretty busy place in the summer with big boats being frequently hauled and put back into the water. While that just adds another aspect of working harbor life, it can get a bit loud at times during the day with the equipment they use, especially in early morning. But since the house does have air conditioning, you do have the ability to shut the background noise out. Other than that, it is a perfect location to explore the island from.

Relaxation on the water - Modern Amenities
This cottage came highly recommended from a friend and it was even better than I thought. I loved lying in bed and watching the boats every morning before I lumbered downstairs to grab coffee and plan the day. It's a bit removed from the crowds and chaos of Acadia which made it the perfect respite. We found ourselves searching for takeout so we could enjoy a lazy dinner at the cottage with amazing views. And, the fireworks were crazy fun to watch -- you could see them from three different harbors plus all the locals were shooting them off nearby. For us, another perk was that pets are not allowed so the place was ridiculously clean which helped us manage allergies and health issues. Our teenage daughters loved figuring out the various remotes for skylights, floors, fans and speakers -- we never turned on a single TV. It was close to hiking on the Quietside and if we revisit Acadia, we'll be back! Thank you for creating such a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by.

Awesome place and location . The only downfall was the spiral staircase . My in laws were looking forward to the upstairs king bedroom but bc if the spiral staircase were not able to make it up . Also TV in upstairs did not work for our child with us .
