We loved this little rustic cottage in Wellfleet, and were lucky to find a place so close to everything. Even during the worst traffic, you're about 30 minutes from just about everything, including the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and Provincetown. There's an abundance of beaches, restaurants and stores within ten minutes of the place.
Our weather was perfect, but note that if it was hot, you would be dealing with extremely hot temperatures in the cottage, as there's no AC. In fact, it would get hot during the day, so in the morning we had fans going in every room so that it was cool and aired out when we would return in the evening.
ONE NOTE FOR OUT-OF-STATERS: I'm sure folks from Massachusetts know that to rent on CC means to bring your own bedsheets and towels. The owner does list this in the instructions, but there's a lot of info there that I decided to look at two days before travel, which is on me. For a bit over $100, you can rent sheets and two towels from a local dry cleaner, or pack your own (I had to pack my own since I was too late to rent). I've never heard of this, but the fact that a local business offers such a service shows that it's likely a well known practice in Massachusetts.
The home is quite rustic, in the sense that it has a wonderfully weathered look. I saw from the one bad review that this freaked people out--you can keep your pristine hotels and cottages that are basically half million dollar homes, my wife and I loved this place completely.
