Clean comfortable home with a great view
We enjoyed watching the ever-changing views of the colors of the water and sky, the birds and tide changes. The house has everything you need from hair dryer and kitchen equipment to kayaks and a fire pit. Dinner at Primo and a sail on the Appledore 2 out of Camden were highlights of our stay.

A blissful and peaceful getaway!
There are no words to describe the absolute beauty of this place! Watching the sun rise each morning while listening to the gentle lap of the waves and osprey circling overhead, coffee on the deck overlooking the quiet cove, enjoying a daily paddle in the kayaks- a perfect retreat to return to each day after enjoying the beauty of the Maine coast! The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the home is gorgeous. We can't wait to return.

Our first Maine!
This home was exactly as presented and was an absolutely beautiful space and location. That kitchen was amazing and the rest of the house was furnished and decorated so nice. It was a privilege to stay there. The location is perfect to drive to different areas and the ocean view was every easo to just stay and hang out!

Home Away from Home
I have nothing but positive things to say about this place! First of all, the house was IMMACULATE when we arrived, and it's obvious that it was both designed and built with the utmost attention to detail. The location is fantastic because you have a view of the ocean from almost every room, and the rocks and beach are perfect for exploring. We walked on the pebbly beach almost every day to search for sea glass and watch the wildlife, but it's also a great spot for fishing and kayaking. There are several grocery store options within a 15-minute drive (including Walmart), and Rockport and Camden are close by for shopping, art galleries, etc. If you're from the city - keep in mind there aren't any Ubers, so I would definitely plan on renting a car. We didn't cook much, but the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need if you do want to prepare your own meals. Some of the other supplies I appreciated having available included a blow dryer, sunblock, and bug spray (although the only time we had to use the bug spray was when we were sitting out in the yard at night). The owners, Christine and Tom were so wonderful and made themselves available for any questions we had. We would absolutely stay here again and look forward to returning for another visit!

Great stay on the mid-coast of Maine!
We had a great stay on Spruce Head Island! The setting is so peaceful! The house was very well equipped and comfortable. We were close enough to dining and shopping in the towns of St. George, Rockland and Camden and got to enjoy the view and wildlife at the house as well. The hosts were very helpful and great to work with. We will definitely consider coming again!

Oceanside Bliss
My adult kids and I absolutely loved this home on the shore. The house is lovely: new and bright, overlooking the ocean. The kitchen is well stocked with every gadget you could ask for. We had access to two brand new kayaks and swam in the ocean. I highly recommend this home.

The Perfect Getaway
It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful setting on the Maine coast or a more beautiful house to spend a vacation in. Christine’s family has owned the property for 100 years and has built a new showplace - one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. Views of the sunrise each day; lovely deck to watch the tides come in an out; an extraordinary modern kitchen for lobster dinners. Modern, extraordinarily clean and comfortable with unparalleled views of the Maine coast. We’ll be back (often I hope).

Great location, perfect host
This house has everything you might need, with an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen. Lots of room for everyone, comfortable beds and easy entertainment options. McCloon's seafood shack is a 3 minute drive and offers excellent seafood, including the best crab cakes we've ever had, and key lime pie that's fabulous (also the whoopie pies). Camden to the north is a lovely harbor town. Acadia is a nice day-trip, as are the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens (our favorite). We even found an escape room place for a really hot day, in Rockland. Plenty to explore right in front of the house, too. The host, Chris, has a separate apartment at the base of the building, but we hardly knew she was there. She texted when she had a question and never intruded. Watching the mist/fog roll in from the bridge nearby was magical.

Lovely new build with great view, but sometimes noisy
We enjoyed the immaculate condition of this thoughtfully built home. Spectacular kitchen, very well equipped., fantastic master shower. The owners who were living downstairs were very nice, but due to their proximity the noise from their unit woke us up very early on occasion. Also heavy street noise from well traveled road behind house.

This is truly a retreat from hectic everyday life.
The property is located on a private road owned by the host and added to the tranquil environment. The property allowed for all the outside beauty to be enjoyed while inside with a view of the ocean from each room. The décor was so calming and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, if we chose to make meals vs going out. I would say the best part of the property was the location. We especially loved waking up before 5 am to view the vibrant sunrises right outside our windows. We spent numerous hours searching for shells and “treasures” as I call them on the secluded beach. We watched the lobster boats collecting their catches throughout the week and the wildlife always offered a show no matter what time of day. We ventured out to Rockland and Camden (two ports just North of us) and enjoyed the boating and sailing trips available as well as the local restaurants. You do not even have to leave the island if Seafood is what you are in the mood for. McLoon’s is just a minutes’ drive. I loved the fact that they keep the lobsters in the ocean water until needed. When we were there, a staff member hauled a lobster crate from the bottom of the ocean floor to collect lobsters for peoples’ orders. If you are into hiking, there are plenty of beautiful trails, mountains, and lighthouses to explore. The week we spent here was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. We look forward to returning next year.

Magnificent place to stay, look no further! Spectacular views, right on the ocean
Beautifully appointed home snuggled on an island, right in front of the ocean! The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular and the views from the 2 decks were amazing. This property is located just far enough out from town that you will appreciate all it has to offer. Camden and Rockland are just a stone's throw away not to mention all of the quaint harbors in between. Booth Bay is about 40 minutes down the coast, which we highly recommend to visit. Bar Harbor is about 1 and 1/2 hours away, not my pick because it's a tourist trap and very busy. All of the places we went to eat were excellent. Portland and York are only 2 hours away and LL Bean is right between both of them. The owner of this property, Christine, was very accommodating, kind and helpful being our tour guide, knowing the area very well, she recommended places to eat and visit. Just a walk over the little bridge, about 1/4 of a mile up the road is a great place to get lobsters right out of the ocean! All of the lobster boats go out daily and will sell them to you to go cook them in the beautiful chef's kitchen inside of the home. She even has pots to cook the lobster in! As a matter of fact, there's everything you need in her kitchen, right down to the silverware. So if you're looking for a beautifully appointed home, that is affordable, with stunning views, look no further. You will not be disappointed! Thank you, Christine for being an amazing host and letting us stay in your home. We were the first people to stay at your home, and hopefully this will be an annual visit for all of us.
