"When we set out to book this trip we wanted something different. We are used to the cruising/resorts vacation life where everything is planned for you and all you have to do is show up. From the moment we saw pictures it drew us in, and even more so when we read about it. Never hearing of Eleuthera we began doing some research of the island itself. The host's answered every question we had even prior to booking. We flew into North Eleuthera Airport which is a little over an hour from the house. Govenors Harbour Airport is closer but North Eleuthera worked better on getting there without as many stops. We rented a car which we picked up right at the airport and kept it for our entire stay. There are no "major" car rental companies but there are plenty of small businesses that have cars to rent. These cars aren't in the best condition but it got us where we needed to go. Driving to the house was fun, we stopped at a few places along the way as our arrival was during the day. We definitely discussed how much of a challenge navigating this place for the first time would have been if it was dark out. The house was everything the host's said it was. Simply amazing. We went to "find" a lot of the beaches which was like a fun scavenger hunt sometimes, watched the sunset every night from the deck,enjoyed each other's company, and tried some of the local restaurants. The list of things the host's tell you there is to do, they were spot on. Rent a 4x4. "

"John has a great spot to stay that is clean, well equipped, close to the beach, town and airport. Nice setup plus he has his own car rental which makes the travels less stressful. John is a great communicator and has all the processes down to a science. Highly recommend. "

"We had an incredible two-week stay at this home with our group of three couples. The attention to detail and care put into every aspect of this property made it stand out as one of the best vacation rentals we’ve experienced.The communication with the host was responsive, clear, and thoughtful. It was evident they truly care about their guests' experience, and everything about the home reflected this. The outdoor amenities were a huge highlight for us. Unlike many other rentals, this property went above and beyond with thoughtful extras like boogie boards, pool toys, kayaks, snorkeling gear, and a stand-up paddleboard. These touches added so much fun to our days. The pool itself was a favorite hangout spot, and the outdoor spaces were perfect for relaxing or soaking up the beauty of the location.The home is in a very convenient location on the quieter side of the island with easy access to everything you need. We had no trouble finding groceries, supplies, and great local restaurants. One of the best parts of our stay was meeting friendly locals who were welcoming. The island offers access to many incredible sandy beaches, all within a 10-20 minute drive. Some roads are rough, but the island is working to improve them.If you’re looking for a vacation rental that combines hospitality, attention to detail, outdoor amenities, and a peaceful yet convenient location, this is the one. We highly recommend it!"

"This was a perfect location for our stay. The bedroom layout is great for two couples, or two singles. The bedrooms are at separate ends of house and each has its own full bath. The beds were very comfy! The kitchen is well equipped, but we don't really like to cook on vacay, so opted for late lunch out somewhere every day, with light breakfast and snacks for dinner. There is a nice grill on back deck. The view from front deck is beautiful! We pulled the chaise lounges up from the middle deck and enjoyed sitting outside and watching the incredibly blue ocean. The gorgeous pink sand beach is just down some steps and we only saw someone else on beach once! It was very windy while we were there, so most of our beach-sitting time was spent on the west side of island (sooo many beautiful beaches to choose from!). We really appreciated having fold-up beach chairs and ice chests available to take in car or down to beach with us. Plenty of beach towels available for use. When the sky is clear, the stars are amazing...super bright and they seem so close! We don't get that living in the city. Internet was great. Heard lots of stories about it going down a lot on the island, but we only lost it once for a short time. Governors Harbor area was perfect location for us...very central for exploring north/south. Well-stocked grocery store in town. Barb was great. She responded quickly and answered any questions we had. We would definitely stay there again."
