Not all condo's at the Sapphire are created equal, supplied, managed, or priced the same, so I encourage you to read the reviews from past guests. You get what you pay for. We make every effort to maintain an open communication with our guests to help ensure they are ready for their time at the beach, and to ensure they have an amazing experience. As the owners and fellow travel enthusiasts, we understand your vacation is an investment for you and your family, so we do our best to provide a fair price for what our condo provides, and to help provide you information and an amazing place to stay, to receive the best return on that investment. The memories, friendships, and cherished experiences at the beach will come from you.
Definitely the highlight of this condo, besides the view, is the close proximity to the beach. Once down the elevator and outside the back door, its a 100 yard walk through the best pool resort in South Padre Island, passing through the security gate and down a newly-built wooden deck to the best beach on the island. Upon return, there are hoses and showers to rinse off all the sand before coming back in.

ABOUT OUR CONDO: Beachfront Sapphire Luxury Condo rental with magnificent direct views of the Gulf of Mexico from inside the condo, and great views of the Bay and SpaceX facilities from the separate, private bay balcony. Our condo can accommodate up to 8 guests (can not have more than 8 due to codes and regulations), and is your perfect luxury vacation getaway. Our condo unit is NO SMOKING OR VAPING, NO PETS, privately-owned and immaculately maintained.
Located on the 17th floor, the condo is located low enough to hear the ocean waves but high enough above the neighboring buildings to have miles of unobstructed views of the beautiful island beach both north and south. Plus in the summer months, it provides great views of the fireworks shows and sunsets from a separate private bay-view balcony (excusive to our condo and accessed by key across the hallway) on the back side of the building. From this bay-side balcony, you can also see in the distance the new SpaceX Boca Chica launch pad and maybe even catch a glimpse of a rocket launch, or test landing. (Amazing experience with clients from December 9, 2020 test launch of SN8)
This condo is fully furnished to provide you with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The living room has a large 60” TV with sound bar, and each bedroom has their own TV with DVD. Although we do not have cable, the TVs are equipped with Roku service (just input your login to stream your shows)
Each bedroom has high thread count cotton linens and towels. The master bedroom has a king bed, 12 foot ceilings and an oversized window with a picturesque view of the beach, large dresser, desk (workspace) and chair, large bathroom, and large walk-in closet. There is a shower chair for use also.
Other items provided are board games, small DVD library, high-speed Wifi (works great. We have personally tested it as a family with 4 computers on zoom at the same time), and a hairdryer in each bathroom. A washer /dryer combo unit is available in the unit in a separate utility closet, to help with any small loads you may need to do during your stay.
We provide you with beach/sand toys, boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs, and even a beach bag along with a wagon to transport things to the beach. A beach umbrella & tent are also available.
ABOUT THE SAPPHIRE RESORT: Resort guest amenities includes a Texas size whirlpool that sits next to two crystal clear, palm tree lined, swimming pools that together reach out 300 feet towards the beach – perfect for play or lap swimming. relax at the pool with plenty of pool chaises/chairs-- on a first come first serve basis so you may need to claim them early in the heavy summer season, or see the concierge about renting a Cabana for the day
A large state-of-the-art fitness center with Cybex equipment, a Movie Theater (seating for 24), a Game room / Teen room equipped with pool table, shuffleboard, foosball, pin ball machines and computers, complimentary WiFi, and a 24-hour Front Desk.
Rejuvenate and pamper yourself in the Sapphire full-service Spa, or enjoy a 10 minute walk to a variety of restaurants (Pizza, Sushi, Burgers, Seafood ). Next door, as part of Margaritaville there is a restaurant available in case you don't want to venture out of the area.
As part of the experience, you will have access to 24 hour front desk services that can help direct you with any inquires or questions you may have. As the owners, we are also just a text away from helping you resolve any issues you may encounter.
*NO GLASS NOTICE: please be aware that there absolutely NO GLASS allowed through or outside the Sapphire Resort. They are very strict about this policy, and any violation of this policy will produce a $250-$500 fine that will be the responsibility of the Guest to pay. If glass is broken in the pool, the guest will pay a $1,000 fine and any cost to drain and clean the pool. Just don't bring any glass through or around the Sapphire. Its not worth it. Plus there is no glass allowed on the beach. Take your drinks in cans or a plastic container.
* IMPORTANT: SPRING BREAK OR EASTER WEEKS:
As a Sapphire Regulation (beyond my control), any bookings during Spring Break, or
Easter Week/Santa Semana, all renters must be 30 yrs or older and if a family with children, all people staying in the condo must be immediate family members living under the same household. Family is considered (mother, father, daughter, son/ and or grandparents). For more information, please feel free to message me.
WINTER TEXANS: If you are interested in a monthly or long-term rate for "off-season" or "winter" rental, please send me a message to find out pricing. Bookings 30 days or longer are at a reduced rate and are not subject to the mandatory County Short Term Rental taxes (11%).
TAX RATES: Please be aware that to comply with all State and Local Tax laws, ALL Short Term Rentals (29 days or less) in South Padre Island are subject to the Hotel Occupancy Tax and must be taxed and collected at the State Sales Tax (6%) and City and Cameron County (11%). The amount taxed on each rental is the total (minus VRBO fees) x 17%. Unfortunately due to Cameron County Laws, there is nothing we can do about this, as the total tax is collected in your payment through VRBO and remitted to the State and Local governments.

To try and help offset higher tax costs, we have reduced our cleaning costs and always tried to offer a competitive nightly rate for everything our 8 person Luxury Condo has to offer. You may find lower rates on other Sapphire condos, but you get what you pay for in quality, views, and service.
