"The staff were helpful, polite and actually listened to customers. They seemed to genuinely care about providing customer service. The Expedia website lists the Gamston lock as 0.19 Miles from the City ground, (which is why i booked it for the Football and being close) However reality is that it is located 3.8 miles away. not sure if this is Gamston lock capitalising on match day traffic or an expedia anomoly, just be aware. "Very comfortable stay, room was clean and en-suite with over shower/bath, plenty of plugs and sockets for all your media needs, bed was comfy and had a good night sleep, no noise at all from inside or outside even though in the middle of Eastwood, I didn’t eat but looked reasonably priced. "

"Lovely room, really nice bathroom fit out. Excellent quality tea, coffee, orange juice etc in the room. Nice variety of self serve breakfast to get when you want. Room was quite loud above the pub until it closed at 11 at night. Overall lovely stay and great value. "

"We had a perfectly good stay at the Dog and Partridge, but the accommodation didn’t transpire to be what we expect. We were anticipating a cozy room, in a country pub setting but, in reality, the D&P offers good value, chalet-style family rooms, each with it’s own car port, in a large area behind the pub itself. "We had a brilliant stay and we would certainly recommend. Lovely location. Really peaceful and green. Plenty of parking. Check in was fast and friendly. Room was excellent. Spacious. Comfortable. Really nice and quiet. No disturbance or noise at all. Spotlessly clean. Great shower. Will certainly return!! "

Short work trip

"Bustling restaurant for the morning and evening. Food was good, but dinner price might be a bit high (but thats mainly due to the country's rising cost and inflation). Room was great, modern, comfortable, clean. Questionable shower design that might lead to small puddles outside due to the cubicle is risen and the inner drainage is shallow, plus not much of a screen to contain water bouncing off the inner cubicle to the outer floor. Water pressure could be better. Rooms with connecting doors should be removed (sealed) or not given to guests who dont know their neighbors. Could literaly hear them showing affection to each other and other times their TV. Other than that, plenty of car parking space, large compound and you dont hear the motorway either as its just far enough. "
