This was a convenient location with easy access to the South Lake Tahoe area. The house was on a nice, quiet street that made it the perfect weekend getaway. Communication with the property manager was quick and responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

A plain and practical house
Highly recommend to the family who has more than three young kids and doesn’t want to spend more, and not clean sensitive, book this house. My 9yr old daughter, 6yr old son and 4yr old young daughter enjoyed this house very much. They had a lot of fun and had two good sleeps in it. However, as experienced adault, like my husband, he saw the lack of quality of it. I saw the old and update-need of it, too. Good location, good neighbors.

Great place for family vacation in winter time
My family and my friend enjoy our time in this property. It is clean and quiet. Except the door lock passcode is not working and WiFi signal is not so good.

Good location
Overall this house was good for our family late season ski vacation. It needs a little updating but overall everything works, and with some updating will be really great.

Great location for a winter activities and relaxation!
This property is at great location! Quiet and secluded but yet close to the highway! The A frame architecture is very unique and the kids loved it. The tall glass windows looking out to the forrest is very relaxing. We would come back again for our next winter getaway!

Snowboarding weekend
Overall, it was really great. 15 minutes away from the resort we were boarding at saw a bunch of different wildlife, some coyotes and a bobcat right in the backyard. There was snow all over the place so you didn’t really have to go far if you wanted to just sled or just play in the snow. Bunch of different amenities. The dishwasher was great. A cute little rustic bathtub and a good shower.

Perfect little cabin with amazing communication
Especially considering the price, this place was fantastic. The location was perfect for skiing at both Heavenly and Kirkwood, and stores are conveniently close. I think what stood out the most was how quickly my questions were answered by the property manager (via text). If I ever had any question, I would shoot a text and get a response within a few minutes. Great stuff. Very clean. If I had a cabin, I would set it up just like this with many beds and a warm and cozy vibe.

Comfortable place
We enjoyed this vacation home. It was a nice place with a comfortable bed. It also had a hot tub to enjoy! I would watch out for children as there is a pack of coyotes that hang out behind the house. After a few day we realized that the neighbor across the street was feeding them. They didn’t seem to interested in us but we kept our small dog inside for safety. Other than that we had a wonderful time at sierra dreams.

Location=Great, Condition=Rundown
The location of this home is up against wooded area, so it's secluded and the view out the windows in the living room is wonderful. The condition of the furnishings, linens, dishes is all very tired and in need of replacement to bring this house up to a standard to be advertised via the marriott.com channels. There is a significant amount of mold growing on the walls in the bathroom signaling that maintenance attention to remove the dry wall in the bathroom is needed.

First thing we noticed when we walked in is the stench of urine. (dog friendly) There was a large fan in the living room, hall way and master bedroom that were on. End table had dust and dirt on it. The couch seemed to have bird poop on the arm rest. Kitchen countertops were dirty. Dirt or sand on the floor in front of the washer and dryer. We pulled back the covers on the beds and noticed hair and black specs on the sheets. Looks like they hadn't been washed. Cob webs through out the place and the windows were dirty. After communicating with the property manager, we were compensated one night but theyr were unable to send out anyone to clean and replace the sheets. They ended up leaving a bag of clean sheets but it only had one fitted "single" sheet. We had a double and king size bed........This place was simply a big disapointment, unsanitary and dirty. The smell of urine was terrible. Would NOT RECOMMEND this place.

Tahoe cabin
Overall, the house needs more work for the price. There were mouse droppings in the corners and in the dressers. The shower curtain was covered in mold and pink with backteria. There was a lot of pet hair imbedded the carpet. If I wore socks inside, they were covered in hair when I went to bed. There wasn't a fan in either bathroom. There is not a real door on the upstairs bathroom, more like cupboard doors. There is a washer and dryer that work, but are very loud. The main living space is cute, windows are nice. Couch and table were great and cozy. Kitchen is small but functional. Location is south of the town of Tahoe. We went to Kirkwood and sierra to snowboard so the location worked well for us. There is a hot tub but it is not for use in winter.

Rustic Tahoe A-Frame Rental Exceeds Expectations
While I’m not a rental property veteran, I have booked numerous rentals and this one is one of the best I’ve experienced. Great classic A-Frame house with updated appliances and comfortable for larger groups. One of my pet peeves are rental beds that feel prison issued. No need to worry here as all beds were medium softness. Fans are another thing I usually take with me because I need white noise to sleep and it’s good small area temp control. I forgot mine, but luckily there were 2 great fans available to use. Used the modern Washer/ Dryer and it worked great. Hot tub worked perfectly with great view as you soaked. I highly recommend this rental.

A comfortable getaway
Our family with two teenage kids and a golden retriever stayed two nights. It was great for the kids to have their own space and be able to make our own food. The only downside in the kitchen is we couldnt find a baking sheet/pizza pan. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water and the heat kept us warm inside even when it was freezing outside (the heat worked better than our home in the Bay Area!) It was our first trip to Tahoe and the location was fine for driving to the lake or town with easy access to a grocery store as well. We were a bit disappointed that there wasn’t any recent snow when we arrived but our last night brought six inches of snow which the dog especially enjoyed. If traveling with pets do be mindful of coyotes which we saw just across the street one evening and in the morning snow we had to cut our play short to get back inside when the coyote came to check out our dog. We had to buy new chains as we were leaving town and were able to pick some up at the Shell just off the highway that leads up to the neighborhood. At the service station’s recommendation, we opted to use the chain installation service on the highway as we were leaving town. It was very convenient for those of us who rarely drive in snow.

Overall decent
The carpets were freshly vacuumed & the beds were made nice. The bathrooms were mostly clean but there were some random hairs on towels. The body wash, shampoo, & conditioner were convenient . The outside of the property could have either been swept or blown clean of the pine needles since there a lot of stairs to get to the front door it made it a bit unsafe. Also, the outside porch was covered with pine needles as well. The beams inside were beautiful but filled with cobwebs. The windows leading out to the back were breathtaking. We also found a dead mouse in the loft next to a bed & there were mouse droppings in the dresser drawers. It is Tahoe & you can expect to find rodents but possibly the cleaning crew could have checked drawers as well. The dishwasher was great but they provided only two pods to do dishes so not sure if we should have brought dishwashing pods. Also, the second "full" bathroom only has a tub & the sink in that bathroom didn't have running water. & the second bathroom doesn't have a locking door, they are bifold doors. I did reach out someone before booking to ensure we had two showers since we he 4 adults & two 14yr old boys & would need two showers. I was misled to believe that there was 2 showers. Someone did come out to fix the sink but it took a day & a half. The washer & dryer is a great bonus especially if staying for a few days or if have a big family like us and someone always needs something cleaned. This house also has a lot of stairs. Going into the house has two level of stairs & the loft has lots of stairs. It was a bit of a struggle for me as I have a bad back and just had surgery recently. Overall, a beautiful location and with a little bit more attention to detail and upkeeps, this could be a great place. I would also be more transparent in the description of this house in regards to the second bathroom and the amount of stairs.

Met our needs, but not our expectations
We stayed in the South Lake Tahoe area for three nights. We actually selected this home specifically because of (a) the fact that it backs up to park land, (b) the hot tub and (c) that it was a home rather than a condo. The view from the rear of this house was beautiful and peaceful. The area is so quiet and we really enjoyed it. You had a view of the mountaintop through the trees. We did get to see the coyotes that other reviewers spoke about, and spent a bit of time on the back deck to look for them and for other wildlife. This property is pretty basic. They didn’t leave any Vacasa information (as the previous rental we stayed in for 2 nights prior in another area), and didn’t leave any sort of information about local attractions, etc. The location was very convenient to the sights we wanted to see, and close to shopping (we cooked breakfast, and dinner a couple of nights) – there was a great grocery store about 1 mile away. They did leave some bathroom amenities, dish washing detergent and laundry detergent (which appear to be Vacasa standards) We found the property to be less clean than we would have expected – there was food in some of the cabinets from a previous guest, and not all of the trash cans were emptied. We were able to handle that in short order, but was disappointing, and caused us to wonder what else was not up to cleanliness/hygiene standards that we just didn’t see. I agree with another reviewer who stated that the furnishings, towels, etc were tired and could use some updating. We were also pretty disappointed upon arrival to learn that the hot tub was not operational (in fact, someone came during our stay to winterize it, surprising us with an early morning knock on the door). When I contacted Vacasa I was advised it was not a listed amenity - but as I explained to them as it was listed as an amenity when we booked, and there are towels left at the back door for hot tub use, as well as the hot tub being mentioned in other guest reviews. I got apologies from Vacasa, but was disappointed that they failed to communicate about the hot tub being out of commission, as well as the fact that someone would be there to service it.

Secluded and comfortable.
Very quiet neighborhood, nothing behind the place but forest and towering mountains. Hearing/seeing the coyotes really made for a cool experience. Secluded and peaceful. Comfortable and close to amenities in the town of Meyers.
