Beautiful South Lake Tahoe Meadow View Chalet. Dog Friendly. AC

Meadow View is a recently renovated and well-appointed three-bedroom, two-bathroom chalet. It includes a sizable but cozy loft and a two-car garage on a level lot.
Air Conditioning was installed in 2022.

The property sleeps eight comfortably with unobstructed views of the beautiful meadow or the forest from nearly every window. Surrounded by Forest Service or Conservancy lands on both sides, this home is a peaceful getaway, perfect for families and friends.

This is NOT a party house. This is a family neighborhood that full-time residents reside in. Noise travels across the meadow and can disturb residents. We have a strict noise and light policy (10 pm to 8 am) out of respect for our neighbors and El Dorado County regulations.

The first floor has a kitchen planned for guests who enjoy cooking; the kitchen is well-equipped. The kitchen is open, and the cook is not isolated from other guests. The dining area has a large table that seats eight. The living area features a gas-burning fireplace, a flat-screen TV, vaulted ceilings, and stunning views of the vast open meadow. There are two bedrooms, a fully renovated bathroom, and a laundry area with a newly installed large-capacity washer and dryer. The cabin has a tankless water heater for endless hot water!

Upstairs find an open beam ceiling, a large bedroom with a small balcony, a bathroom, a loft area with stunning views, comfortable seating, a pull-out queen bed, a flat-screen TV, and an open space with plenty of room to lounge or play.
The back deck opens to our beautiful meadow with miles of hiking and biking trails nearby.
During the summer months, enjoy using the Weber gas grill and outdoor furniture.


Located off Pioneer Trail, this home is a short drive from everything. In the winter, world-class skiing is 10 minutes away at Heavenly Ski Resort. In warmer months, enjoy some of Tahoe’s best beaches just a short drive away. Our favorite, Kiva Beach, is a dog-friendly beach with free parking and a stunning view of Mt Tallac. Head to the Beacon Bar and Grill for lakeside live music and their famous “Rum Runner.” There are four golf courses within a 20-minute drive of the cabin. For year-round fun, Stateline is 6 miles away. At Stateline, you will find many restaurants, bars, shops, and casinos.

The town of Meyers is only a few minutes down the road. There you will find our fantastic local grocery store Holiday Market, two golf courses, local restaurants, and endless hiking and biking trails.

Wonderful vacation house
Family friendly, very clean, great kitchen in an house that combines modern appliances and comforts with a rustic cozy feel. Kitchen was very well equipped and the AC was a blessing. Enjoyed being outside on the patio and feeling one with nature yet only 10 minutes away from the lake, grocery store and restaurants. One of my favorite VRBO stays yet.

Cozy Chalet, Unforgettable Winter Getaway With The Family
This South Lake Tahoe chalet was the perfect winter retreat. We cozied up by the fire for movie nights, enjoyed the snowy wonderland with snowshoe adventures and had a blast tubing in the backyard. The location was great with easy access to explore the area making our visit unforgettable. Highly recommend!!

A perfect stay!
We've rented a lot of homes over the years, and this was one of our favorites! Melinda's home is lovely -- it's hard to list all of the good things: the home is well laid out, the location was central to all of our activities, the beds are really comfortable, the kitchen is extremely well-stocked, it was extremely clean (especially considering it's pet-friendly), and the view of the meadow is gorgeous and so relaxing! Melinda was a great communicator -- she made sure we had all the information we needed for a wonderful stay, and responded immediately when I had a random question about trash day. Our friends were renting nearby and they were jealous of how beautiful this house is! Highly recommend!!

Felt like home only Better
Our family has visit Lake Tahoe for decades, we have camped, stayed in lodges, hotels. Last year we took our 86 year old mother to celebrate her birthday as Lake Tahoe and Fallen Leaf Lake are her favorite places. We needed a place comfortable for her that could accommodate 8 of us. This was PERFECT. This was a year later only this time we celebrated her memory, she walked into heaven this year. We all loved being in this beautiful serene home to laugh and cry and laugh some more. It was glorious to cook in this kitchen and just sit on the patio watching the meadow… morning coffee, evening glass of wine. Melinda is an incredible host so attentive and thought of everything in her home. This is a gem of a place perfectly located near heavenly village and easily everywhere we needed to be. Thank you Melinda, what a blessing.

We stayed here with a toddler and it had ALL the toddler stuff to make your stay easy and convenient! It has a fully stocked kitchen, was a quick 10 minute drive to the lake, a nice back patio to relax.

We had a great day! The house was very well stocked. The beds were warm and clean. There were a lot of extra blankets and the movie selection was on point. Our only complaint is that the listing said there was a hot tub and there wasn’t one.

"Meadow View"
Our second stay in this wonderful cozy, clean, and comfortable cabin with a beautiful meadow view. Hiking/snowshoeing/x-country skiing trails begin at the end of the street. Feels remote, but isn't. Heavenly Valley, Lake Tahoe, and stores/restaurants are close by. Especially loved and appreciated that it is dog friendly!

Another Great Stay
This is our second stay at this VRBO. Again, well stocked; everything is easily accessible. Considerations are definitely made for guests in mind. Comfortable upstairs bed. Haven't used downstairs bedrooms as our children are in college and have not been able to join us on our past couple trips. Home itself is nice and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Tahoe. We will definitely be back.

Great place for a ski weekend
Our family stayed here during a ski trip and we would definitely return. This is a beautiful home with all the amenities we needed. The kitchen appears recently remodeled and is well-stocked. There was ample space to spread out between the downstairs living room and the loft sitting area. Melinda is very responsive and accommodating. We really enjoyed taking a walk in the snow along the trail that can be accessed at the end of the road.

Wonderful Tahoe Get Away
My family enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable house. There was plenty of room and the deck overlooking the meadow was very relaxing! (The mosquitos are numerous after our wet winter, so bring your mosquito repellent!)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the location for our family and dogs could not have been better. Walk out the back door to a meadow and hiking trails , quiet cul de sac street off Pioneer Trail makes getting into and out of South Lake Tahoe easy , and the kitchen has everything you need for gourmet cooking! We would love to come back again :)

Perfect family gathering space
This is our second time staying at this lovely home. The location is great with easy access, situated on a quiet cul de sac with direct access to open space and trails. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and is perfect for those who love to cook. The beds are very comfortable annd the loft upstairs provides a nice secondary reading, tv, and yoga space :-) Our furry friends love the backyard as do we. A perfect spot for a family gathering!

Fall Vacation
The cabin is great! Very clean and well stocked, there are even items for your furry family members. It feels like home and the kitchen has everything. The neighborhood is very quiet with no street noise and there are hiking trails at the end of the street. The owner is very responsive and reached out prior to our stay to ensure there were no questions. We will definitely stay here again.
