Disliked: Staff & service, property conditions & facilities
The positive:
Nice neighborhood. Very few neighbors, quiet, with the Truckee River just down the hill. Very close to the 50, but situated far enough back to eliminate most noise. The drive into town takes about 10 minutes. Good amount of kitchen supplies.
The so-so:
The furnishings, kitchen, and bathrooms are all extremely outdated (mostly original) and need replacement to make the place more attractive. But everything was mostly functional and solid.
The negative:
The house was infested with huge carpenter ants. They did not bite, but crawled over your feet and legs and were everywhere - kitchen, bathrooms, walls, ceilings, etc. Between 1 and 4 ants were scuttling around in every room at any given time. Reported this to the property management, but not sure if they actually want to resolve the issue.
The deck/stairs look and feel like they are falling apart. Maybe this is where the ants come from.
The wifi is bad. The router needs to be reset every 15 minutes.
There are two old tiny TVs, DVD and VCR, all of which are cheap and terrible. Not sure why ownership cannot invest a little money in replacing these, if they are not going to replace anything else.
The dishwasher racks are too small to hold the size of dishes that are available.
The screen doors in the living area and the master bedroom do not open/close properly.
There was a security system, but it did not work.
No A/C, which I understand is a luxury in SLT.
