Welcome to the Cottage on the Bluff!
Nestled on the scenic shores of Lake Michigan, this charming 1970s Chalet-style home offers the perfect winter or holiday getaway. Whether you’re hosting family and friends or sneaking away for a peaceful retreat, the Cottage on the Bluff is magical year-round—especially in the winter months. Cozy up by the fire table on the wrap-around porch, sip hot cocoa, and take in the panoramic lake views and stunning sunsets. This home is a true winter wonderland!

Custom-built with cedar finishes inside and out, the Cottage features cathedral ceilings, cherry kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, and hardwood floors throughout, making it both cozy and inviting. The spacious, open layout is perfect for family gatherings, holiday meals, or quiet relaxation.

The Cottage on the Bluff is just a 6-minute drive from both the north and south beaches and downtown, where you’ll find unique boutiques, charming restaurants, and a classic town theater. In winter, experience the quiet beauty of the area, or visit nearby attractions for a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.

Sleeping Arrangements:
The cottage sleeps 6 guests comfortably:
• Master Loft Suite: A king-size bed, private bathroom with a stand-up shower, and a cozy sitting area with a futon that doubles as an additional bed. The loft overlooks the living area and offers a serene view of the lake.
• 2nd Bedroom: A queen-size bed on the main floor.
• Living Room: Features a sleeper sofa for extra guests.

Enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine on the expansive porch while taking in breathtaking lake views. In the colder months, unwind in the hot tub or gather around the fire table for a cozy evening with friends and family.

We travel a lot. And this place is a gem for sure. Probably one of the prettiest places we have ever stayed. The home, the views, beautifully decorated everything you could possibly need. We didn’t wanna leave. Visited South Haven many times for dinner. Cute friendly town😊 Great host Highly recommend!!

The property was amazing. The lake is spectacular. We saw an amazing sunset and moonrise and then stars. The location is awesome. All you hear is the waves. Will definitely be back.

This was our second stay here and it was just as magical as the first. We didn't have any cell or wifi signal for about half the time we were there, but we didn't mind. It was nice to be unplugged.

Relaxing Getaway
I had an amazing stay at this lovely cottage. It was a perfect long-weekend getaway in February for a little personal rest and reset. The weather cooperated wonderfully so I was able to get awesome hikes in during the day, then enjoy perfect sunsets every evening overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan. The cottage had everything I needed to make simple meals and be very cozy. Communication with the owner was great. I hope to be back again!

Love Lake Michigan
We love South Haven and have been going for years and enjoying Lake Michigan is what we love the most. The home is perfect so cozy and the views of the Lake was spectacular!! Having a hot tub is a must for us and we enjoyed watching the amazing sunsets. We will be back!!

Magical Spot on Lake Michigan
What a truly unique and beautiful spot to celebrate our anniversary. The views are some of the best I have seen - sunsets, seclusion, lake breeze, sound of the waves, with beautiful forest as well. The house itself is just perfectly different, comfy, very clean, and yes sort of magical. Very charming. The wrap around deck and hot tub with views are fabulous. Very easy to locate, close to South Haven and other nearby beach towns. We enjoyed perch at Captain Lou’s on the river, but otherwise didn’t want to leave this house! Candice is very nice/easy to communicate with. The perfect place to relax and unwind. Blessed to have found this slice of heaven in Michigan.

Perfect South Haven waterfront getaway
There is not one thing that isn’t truly magical about this property. It’s spotlessly clean, has incredible views, it’s secluded yet near shops and beaches, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. The erosion is a sight to see, for sure. We cannot wait to come back, I can imagine that it is beautiful to see in the winter!

Best Friends Weekend
Our weekend stay was simply perfect. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, a quick 11 minute drive to South Haven. THE VIEWS were AMAZING! We were perfectly content sitting on the porch with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. If you want a quiet, relaxing weekend... rent this cottage and forget about all your worries.

Treehouse perched over Lake MI
Delightful, quirky cottage literally perched high over Lake Michigan with nice kitchen. My adult daughters and I enjoyed the Stars, the quiet, Privacy and nice hot tub. The erosion is shocking and we were surprised the fire pit pictured is gone, but a unique experience. We liked walks in the nearly next door Nature Reserve as well.
