Make your vacation a carefree, car-free getaway with everything so close by.  Enjoy the best "Slice" of South Haven with easy access to the bike trails and the best South Haven experiences. A short walk brings you to downtown South Haven for the farmers market, tasting rooms and great dining options. Make your way to the riverfront, the popular South Beach, or the expansive Kids Corner Park near Monroe Boulevard, all just a ten minute walk away.

After exploring our idyllic lakefront community, return to your "Slice" to relax on the front porch, watching neighbors pass by or enjoy community parades on the holidays. The backyard at "A Slice of Haven" offers a shaded respite, with a deck for grilling & dining and an easy step down to a lovely patio with a gas firepit. 

A wonderful combination of cozy and modern furnishings, A Slice of Haven is fully equipped for weeklong visits or short getaways. The interior of the cottage is lovely with beautiful bamboo flooring and a flow-through main floor from living to kitchen to dining. Rounding out the main floor are two bedrooms and full bath. Up the circular stairway is a lovely suite perched at the top of the house with another bedroom, walk in closet, full bath and private balcony looking over the backyard.

Cute house in great location
The house was charming and very comfortable. The check in process was very smooth and communication from the owner was great! We have young kids so being able to walk to town, the beach and a park was fantastic.

Great getaway
We used this VRBO for a girls trip reunion. It was perfect. We enjoyed the front porch to sit, chat and catch up. We could easily walk to downtown, the beach and more. We had plenty of space for the four of us. We used the grill one night and had dinner outside on the back deck.

Great experience
We loved our stay at "A Slice of Haven". The location is perfect for walks to the beach, downtown, and kids corner. Our group consisted of grandparents, parents, and two kids aged 3 and 5. It was such a fun surprise to find toys under the twin beds in the kid's room. They haven't stopped talking about it. The home is well stocked and very clean. The living room was perfect for our family, and the outdoor space added an extra get away for play and conversation.

South Side Stay
The house matched the description except for the picture of the pristine patio area. My family loves spending time outdoors, so we were looking forward to the patio. However, it was littered with sticks and leaves. We called the rental agency and asked for a broom, which was delivered. No offer was made to clean it up. We did it. Other tha that, the house was clean and comfortable. It's an older home, but has been updated. It is only 3 blocks to town, and the neighborhood sidewalks are great for taking walks.

My wife and I spent 5 nights at Slice of Haven and were very impressed with the overall experience at the cottage. It was very well kept and decorated and very clean. We especially enjoyed out time on both the front and back patios. Should we return to Southhaven we would definitely come back to this beautiful home.

Cute house, great location
The location is great proximity to downtown and the beach. The decor is beachy farmhouse, which is a great style for us. The porch was great but beware of the HUGE spiders. We have a few suggestions to make the place even better: - upgrade the mattress in the upstairs bedroom. Our backs hurt so bad by the 3rd night. - the linens, while clean, had stains on them. You may want to replace them. - the downstairs shower needs a new liner. The bottom was orange, not white. - the dishes in the cabinet were dirty, specifically all the plates and most of the cups. Make sure dishes are clean before guests arrive. The property management company did not respond to our texts. I'd recommend ensuring someone is monitoring and at least acknowledging the texts coming in. Overall great stay, location and cute house.
