Just one issue was the lack of response from the emergancey contact number on the hotels.com confirmation email.....when we could not get in the property, and the key was not in the key safe!.....still waiting for an answer to our call & text.....very poor. We managed to find the key, and text the owners, who replied promptly and were lovely."

Burgh Island was a treat the Pilchard Inn did a stunning meal and the sea tractor was something everyone should do. I loved it all and so did the dog :-)"

"This is a really nice flat very near the centre of Dartmouth but extremely quiet, especially at night. Spotlessly clean and everything worked. A lot of care has been taken to decorate the flat with interesting and quirky pictures, shells, ornaments etc. I would stay there again."

"This is described well. It is a bed sit but it’s lovely. It’s very neat and tiny but it had everything I wanted. I took some recipe boxes with me and managed with minimal effort. Unfortunately there was a storm all weekend but after an adventure on the lower ferry found some excellent coffee shops in Dartmouth, went for a run around the castle then hunkered down in the cosy bolthole and had the most relaxing weekend"

"Nice flat, short walk to the lower ferry, pubs, nice cafe that serves a great breakfast. The peak parking in the marina is £10 per day, not £8 as stated. You can park around the corner up the hill, but the parking here isn’t ideal. The flat itself was clean, nice owner as well. I’d recommend it. "

"Had a lovely week in this first floor flat. The views from the living room and double bedroom are utterly gorgeous and change with the tides. The flat is great with very comfy beds! We used the steps down to the beach regularly, which is a great workout. Good walks on the doorstep and also took the ferry over to Bantham for a walk on that part of the coastal path. Bring supplies as the closest restaurants are a drive. Can totally recommend the Oyster Shack for unbelievably good seafood and...

"We loved the views and easy walk down to South Sands beach. We built several castles with moats etc, helped by the stream. It's nice to be able to park the car and not use it again during the week, as we could use the South Sands ferry, or walk, into Salcombe town. The coast path is also lovely and easy to get to."

"So close to the beach the flat was very convenient, it’s the first flat as you enter the complex so easy to unload your belongings. The kitchen equipment worked well, the bedrooms were small as was the on suite shower. Not luxurious in my opinion but comfortable, easy to walk to the local pub and the Stokeley farm shop is brilliant."

"Immaculate and stylish property - actually looks better than the online photos. Everything has been carefully curated and thoughtfully presented. The wine, milk, scones, cream and jam were a delightful welcome. The balcony and living room window offer a superb view over the river and town and it is only a short walk down to the town centre. Quite steep so not for the fainthearted on the way up! It's a pretty town with great shops and the ferries were ideal so that we scarcely used the car once...

"Excellent property, within easy walking distance of harbour. Lots of pubs, access to car and passenger ferries easily accessible. Would stay again, but not during Regatta week, although, that itself had plenty to offer in entertainment, food and drinks. not so great during this week. Parking"

BUSINESS TRIP ME ONLY

"Great stay, not really too sure why people have left negative feedback for this place ? I can only imagine they have Rolls Royce taste & Skoda budgets as the saying goes ? Im a sales rep so i stay away quite a bit. yes this place isnt the most luxurious - but look at what you pay. It ticked all the boxes for me. & i stay away quite a bit. Yes the bar area is small ish, but that to me is an appeal. They have a larger restaurant area if that's better suited ? It was a cosy pub atmosphere. The food was very good. "

Charming hotel on the edge of Dartmoor

"Everything was v clean. We stayed in the Wotter Room on the second floor. Yes it could all do with a bit of a paint in patches but the room is charming and huge. The view was amazing - we could see the fireworks in Plymouth the first night that we stayed. Had a fab Nepalese curry on Wednesday followed by an Indian pudding which was delicious. Steak on the second night. The hotel is on the edge of Dartmoor but close enough to the local tourist attractions. We will definitely return. "
