This 3000 sq foot home on the Rio Grande River is perfect for your large family or group. Sleeping up to 15 in beds. Space will never be an issue. Relax in the hot tub on the Rio Grande River with beautiful mountain views. Stroll out over the river on your private boardwalk. First bedroom has a king size bed, as well as, a twin bed with a flatscreen tv. Attached Master bathroom. Second bedroom has a King size bed and a flatscreen tv. Third bedroom has 2 queen/twin bunks and a flatscreen tv. A full bathroom is shared between bedroom 2 and 3. There is also a half bath. The upstairs loft offers 2 queen beds, pool table and sofa.Oversized 30' X 40' garage for winter and summer AtVs, Snowmobiles, Boats and of course your vehicles. No need to remove the two foot storm that dropped on your vehicle overnight.

Perfect Wolf Creek Base Camp

Great ski trip
Thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin. It was a great family, and a few friends, trip. It was the second time we stayed at this cabin. It is very convenient to Wolf Creek and town.

Family Fun in South Fork
We had an amazing stay. We loved the well stocked kitchen, fishing off the deck, lots of sidewalk for chalk art, s'mores, the hot tub and lots of family time.

My friends and I do an annual trip to Wolf Creek and the Elk River House did not disappoint! The beds were clean and comfy, the kitchen was well stocked, and there was enough space for all of us and our dogs to have a great time without stepping on each others' toes! 5 stars, would love to stay here again!

This property was our family’s favorite rental. The cabin’s floor plan is well thought out for a large family gathering. Great area to explore with lots of fun activities within an hours drive. Stay here if you’re looking for comfort and a feeling of home!
Stayed here through Christmas with my family and couldn’t have been happier. A tree was decorated for us to use as well which was great. We have a big family so sometimes it can be hard to find places that accommodate all of us but this place was perfect. The kids had room to run around and play and the adults had space to relax and let loose. Highly recommend staying here

Quick Getaway
First, I want to thank our host who was so quick to answer any questions we had and was amendable to some changes. Second… wow! What a fun place to stay for some kids and adults. We had a blast just enjoying the scenery and the cabin. Will be coming back!

Pictures don’t do this house justice. It’s beautiful inside and out! Plenty of room for our family. Garage is huge and has plenty of space. We used the hot tub each day which was overlooking the river. And it’s only 20 minutes to go ski! Might come back down in the summer to use the back deck and do some fishing. Definitely recommend.

Great location and plenty of space!
This is our second stay at the Elk River house. The location is fantastic - the deck on the back is perfect for relaxing. There was plenty of space inside for our group of six adults and four kids (teens and pre-teens), and the house was well-stocked with kitchen items and bed linens. South Fork has so many great trails, rivers, and lakes that make it a perfect summer destination. It’s also an easy drive to Pagosa and Creede for additional activities. We’ll definitely be back

Family Winter Adventure
Great family property. We really enjoyed our stay. Excellent location. Close to the middle of town and not far from the ski slopes. This is our second stay at the home and it really suites all of our needs and wants! We have stayed at the big resorts in the past, but we love the small town feel and the lack of crowds at Wolf Creek. (Please don't let developers ruin it!) We will definitely stay at Elk River House again. Thank you, The Cobb Family

Great cabin for big ski group!
We stayed here with 3 adults and 4 kids. We had plenty of room! We loved the openness and the giant kitchen! The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the pool table. The hot tub had a malfunction just prior to our arrival but the property manager was very quick to respond and even came to the house to assess. The location for the ski mountain was perfect.....18 minutes! The house had everything we needed and we had such a wonderful time that we were not ready to leave!

Return visit for skiing!
This was our second time staying here. Its a great cabin and fits our family of 7 perfectly! The hot tub was fantastic! There was tons of snow while we were there and someone even came and cleared the driveway. It was so nice to have the garage to park our car in. The house was clean and beds were very comfortable. We had a minor issue with the thermostats not holding the temp but we text the host and and it was promptly resolved. We will be back next year!

Beautiful home in beautiful location
The Elk River home served as our base for a week in the mountains. The house was very clean and spacious, with plenty of space for our group of six adults and four children. The deck over the river was our favorite spot to start the day with coffee and some wildlife. A buck greeted us one morning while getting a drink from the river. We cooked several meals and were impressed with the stocked kitchen. We needed very little besides the food. South Fork was a great, central location that made for easy day trips to Creede, Pagosa Springs, and even Durango. We found several close hiking areas that accommodated our wide age and ability range and made for some beautiful mountain photos. Rafting the Rio Grande with Mountain Man Tours was also a highlight, along with horseback riding at Cottonwood Cove. The owners were wonderful to work with and were responsive to all our questions. We can't wait to get back to the Elk River house and are already discussing a ski trip!

VERY nice home, BEAUTIFUL inside/out.
No heat or hot water first night and morning. Called mgr, he tried to help but thermostat did not work to control floor heat. So hot next two days, some of us had to sleep in den with doors. Then made some adjustments and had no hot water again next morning. Called manager's husband(she was out of town) and suggested some kind of monetary allowance,(ask him to discuss with his wife what was fair and get back to me ) . We have not heard anything from them. I have a friend that knows the owner well and he says he is a very quality , nice person. Sorry for this report but future renters need to know before they rent this property. Hopefully the owner and manager will get this issue fixed. It is an Awesome property!
