"Nice place for us to spend a night. More bath towels would be nice. My wife uses a body towel as well as a hair towel so 2 bath towels wasn’t enough for our needs. Shower took a little figuring out to engage the rain head versus the handheld. Bed is super comfortable. I slept great! Temperature was very comfortable. Noise from upstairs was noticeable but not disruptive. More pictures showing the outside might give folks a better idea of the layout. When I think of a duplex, I always think...

"This loft apartment was the cutest place ever. I stayed for the weekend with my two daughters and it was the perfect location, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Parking was easy out front. The apartment was pristine. We will definitely stay here again. "

"Came in town for USC football game. Kitchen was well suited to prepare our tailgate. A basket of snacks and waters were on the kitchen table, which was a nice surprise upon arrival. The property manager was extremely attentive. Alerted of no hot water and issue was corrected within an hour. Portable AC units in living room and bedroom worked great, as it was very hot and humid. There is no central AC. Great stand-up shower…toilet area was tight. I’d stay here again!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Island Sunset. We came from my sons engagement party at the Sailing Club The host Debra and her husband were wonderful , thorough and very accompanying The property was immaculate and beautiful. We plan on staying there again when visit Lake Murray. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Mrs Shirley's condo. It is a small , quaint space with all of the amenities. Great location near the pool! Parking is a little tricky if you have more than one vehicle but it was fine! Will definitely stay again!!"

"So much to say but I'll stick with letting the owner know a welcome manual may be necessary for Wifi information along with general house amenities and how to work them. Not enough linen was available. No ice maker. Verbal communication with owner was a bit stressful. Try to cater to your guest, not your culture."

"We stayed three days during midweek in November. The neighborhood is lovely and convenient to a main street. You can get downtown easily. The duplex itself was perfect for my three person group. Just big enough where everyone had their own space. It was clean and the neighbors were super quiet. The kitchen is nice and easy to navigate. When there was a small issue (items taken by a prior guest), our host fixed the issue ASAP. He even shipped an item that we accidently left in the duplex!...

"Well appointed, neat and clean. Close to amenities including shops, restaurants, and Hitchcock Woods. Beds were very comfortable. The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars for accuracy of listing is that I didn't see mention of a rather long, steep flight of stairs leading to the 2nd floor where the unit is located. We managed okay but some folks might find getting their luggage upstairs a bit of a challenge. Otherwise, it is perfect."

"The home is old, but the decor helps make it comfortable. It has great high ceilings and large windows. The bathroom and shower need renovation, and the water pressure in the shower needs to be boosted. It is close to Columbia, USC, and Fort Jackson. "
