The house is located only 2 miles from the Oregon Aquatic Center and Mark Hatfield Science Center. The Science Center is free admission and adults will find it as interesting as children. Before leaving the area stop by the famous Rogue Ale Brewery for a pint and tour of the facility and enjoy the restaurant upstairs and view the Yaquina Bay. Just the other side of the bridge into Newport is the turn off to go down to the bay front. Past canneries bringing in the day's catch are restaurants and gift stores for the curious shoppers who will find that certain something they need to take home with them. Don't forget to go to the pier and look down to see the many sea lions on the dock below.
