Residence Cala del Mar resort borders the stunning coastline of the Gulf of Asinara, in north-western Sardinia. This ground-floor apartment for 3, with a private terrace, is in the heart of the resort. It is the ideal option for a family or friends who want a relaxing but action-packed holiday, with the advantage that it is located in a strategic position between Castelsardo and Stintino.

Cala del Mar is within a small residence, arranged around a central square with a nice fountain. In addition to two large swimming pools (Open 9am – 7.30pm, unsupervised 1pm – 3.30pm); two tennis courts; an indoor gym (Open 8am – 10pm) and an outdoor gym (open 24hrs) with no instructor; a children’s playground and a dogs’ exercise area. The resort has a restaurant/pizzeria with panoramic sea views terrace, plus a bar and a minimarket.

The apartment has a wide, arched veranda that looks out over the garden. The veranda is furnished with a dining table and chairs for meals al fresco.

The interior is light and airy, with traditional tiled floors. The open-plan living area has an attractive wrought iron day bed, a dining table and chairs and a kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with an induction hob, microwave and fridge/freezer.

Extra: The day bed in the living room converts into a comfortable single bed.

Location
The town of Sorso is just a 10 minute drive where guests can find everything they might need: ATM, supermarkets, pharmacies etc. Sorso is also known for its locally produced wines known as Moscato di Sorso Sennori. There are several vineyards in the area where visitors can enjoy wine tastings as well as delicious regional foods.
The closer Marina di Sorso offers several opportunities for lovers of outdoor activities. Right outside the residence a bike path of around 20km stretches along the coastal area. For those who enjoy horse riding, there are also riding opportunities along the beach or in the surrounding landscape.

Just 20 minutes up the coast is Castelsardo, considered one of the ‘100 Most Beautiful Villages in Italy’. The village gets its name from Doria Castle which dominates the clifftop and is in excellent condition. Exploring the winding streets and enjoying the local restaurants makes a rewarding day out.

Just a few kilometers away, the waters of Lake Coghinas offer various opportunities for recreational activities, such as sport fishing. In addition, the lake and its shores provide an ideal environment for kayaking or canoeing excursions, allowing visitors to explore the natural beauty of the area from the water.

Alghero airport is just 55 minutes away. Olbia airport is 1 hour 30 minutes by car. If you are arriving by boat, Porto Torres is just a 20-minute drive.
