Residence Cala del Mar borders the stunning coastline of the Gulf of Asinara, in north-western Sardinia. This ground-floor apartment for 3, with a private terrace and sea view is in the heart of the resort. It is the ideal choice for a family or friends who want a relaxing but action-packed holiday, with the advantage that it is conveniently located between the towns of Castelsardo and Stintino.
Cala del Mar is in a small resort, arranged around a central square with an attractive fountain. In addition to the large swimming pool (Open 9am – 7.30pm, unsupervised 1pm – 3.30pm) there are two tennis courts; an indoor gym (Open 8am – 10pm) and an outdoor gym (open 24hrs) with no instructor and a children’s playground. The resort has a restaurant/pizzeria with panoramic sea views terrace, plus a bar and a minimarket.
The apartment has a wide, arched veranda that looks out over the garden. The veranda is furnished with a dining table and chairs for meals al fresco. The master bedroom is accessed directly off the veranda and is separate from the main apartment. This may not suit guests with younger children.
The interior is light and airy, with traditional tiled floors. The open-plan living area features an attractive wrought iron day bed, a dining table with chairs, and a kitchenette equipped with an induction hob, microwave, coffee machine, and fridge/freezer.

Bedroom: The elegant master bedroom, accessed through the veranda, features a double bed (which can be separated into 2 singles) and a wardrobe.
Extra: The day bed in the living room converts into a comfortable single bed.
Bathroom
There are two attractively tiled bathrooms, each appointed with a shower, basin, bidet, and WC.

Location
The town of Sorso is just a 10-minute drive, here guests can find everything they might need: ATM, supermarkets, pharmacies etc. Sorso is also known for its locally produced wines known as Moscato di Sorso Sennori. There are several vineyards in the area where visitors can enjoy wine tastings as well as delicious regional food.
The closer village of Marina di Sorso offers many options for more active guests. Right outside the residence a bike path of around 20km stretches along the coastal area. For those who enjoy horse riding, there are also riding treks along the beach or in the surrounding countryside.
Just 20 minutes up the coast is Castelsardo, considered one of the ‘100 Most Beautiful Villages in Italy’. The village gets its name from Doria Castle which dominates the clifftop and is in excellent condition. Exploring the winding streets and enjoying the local restaurants makes a rewarding day out.
Just a few kilometers away, Lake Coghinas has fun activities such as fishing, kayaking and canoeing. So, visitors can explore the natural beauty of the lake from the water or simply by hiking on the shore.
Alghero airport is 55 minutes away. Olbia airport is 1 hour 30 minutes by car. If you are arriving by boat, Porto Torres is just a 20-minute drive.
