"We booked a double room & private bathroom, toiletries, laundry , air conditioning & coffee making facilities. We had to share a bathroom with 2 other apartments , a sofa bed vs a double bed & there were no toiletries & actually no toilet roll, a fan & no air conditioning & no laundry facilities .we also had an issue checking in , initially they had no record of our booking & told us it had been through Expedia ?? We tried to escalate to Hotels.com but they don’t read the emails properly ! "

"After several days in Rome and Venice, Simona and Valentina's home in Sarnico was an oasis. The two are wonderful, welcoming hosts. The apartment is beautiful (and spotless)-- thoroughly and thoughtfully modernized while retaining its historic charm. "We appreciated all the extras supplied like coffee, kettle and the dishwasher. It was very hot during our stay so we struggled with a poor functioning fan, but we were grateful to have it. Better than nothing. We were disappointed that the listed hostess didn't respond to any communication in the lead up to our arrival (possibly due to no English), therefore making checking in a more difficult process than it should have been."
