Private Sonoma Sanctuary 6 bed retreat with POOL and SPA

Our home sleeps 12 comfortably (5 queen beds and 1 king bed) and has 4 Bathrooms. The kitchen is stocked and has most of the basics for cooking. Please check prior for specifics. We are happy to make sure there are items stocked that you are in need of.

Private backyard with grill, patio set, fire chat sitting area, and in-ground pool and 8 person hot tub.

5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are upstairs. The sixth room is on the main floor with a queen size Murphy bed and a half bath on the main floor.

A booklet of short instructions are available onsite and given to you at check-in.

The Neighborhood
Very quiet neighborhood close to golf course, wineries, and about 2 miles from the Sonoma plaza. This is our home so please be respectful of neighbors. Be respectful and drive responsibly while on our road.

Other Things to Note

There is a little apartment, located on the right side of the 2 car garage that is completely separate and private from the rest of the home. It is used regularly but it does not impact or invade your space.

House policies:
Our home is not available for "partying" or loud groups. Parties will be shut down and reservations may be terminated without refund. Reasonable enjoyment of the pool and backyard is expected.

Sonoma County has a Quiet Ordinance for all vacation rentals that starts at 9pm until 7am. All activity regardless of volume must come inside at 10pm.

Jumping from the balcony will result in forfeiture of your security deposit and will result in immediate cancelation of reservation. Balcony is locked to guests.

No bachelorette or bachelor parties will be accepted.

Glitter is NOT allowed on the property. If glitter is found guests will be assessed an additional $300 cleaning fee.

Refund policy
Reservations are not guaranteed and money is not refunded due to power issues relating to weather or with PG&E rolling blackouts. Generator is on site and available for limited uses in such cases.

Security cameras are located only outside and around the property. there are 3 two-way communication devices outside. 1 in the front and 2 in the backyard for urgent situations when we need to communicate with guests. We do not monitor the cameras but they will alert us of any outdoor activity after 10pm in which we will need to intervene.

Great spot to access wine country
We had a party of 11 and the space was great. We toured both Napa and Sonoma wineries and found the location perfect to access both. (Napa further away obviously). Great outdoor space.

This house was perfect for our girls getaway! It is just like the pictures, very spacious & clean.

Sonoma Family Gathering
Our Maryland family gathered in Sonoma for a mini vacation following a family wedding in Berkeley. This home was perfect! The size and layout worked well for our large family and the backyard with pool, hot tub and lounging areas was great for relaxing and catching up with each other. The location was convenient for touring both Napa and Sonoma. Highly recommend!

Disappointing Stay - Unable to use Pool or Hot Tub
The home itself was very accommodating for the value. We were unable to use the nice amenities like the hot tub due to a large amount of chlorine that appeared to be recently put in the tub - we couldn’t breathe from the fumes. We also couldn’t use the entirety of the pool because the cleaning equipment was left in and took up half of the space. Finally, during our last stay, what appeared to be due to remote control from the owner, it was 88 degrees in the home most of the day and night. It never cooled off, making it unbearable to be in the home. All in all, it’s a nice place to stay if better attention would have been given to the property.

Well appointed home very near downtown Sonoma
We were 5 couples on a 3 day weekend to go wine tasting in Sonoma. There are 6 bedrooms counting a room with a Murphy bed. The master is large with an ensuite bathroom. The other four bedrooms upstairs are small but sufficient and have queen size beds. Those four bedrooms share two bathrooms that are updated and supplied with most things you would need (toiletries). The bedroom with the Murphy bed is on the main floor. There is a half bath on that floor so if someone uses that room, they have to go upstairs to use a shower. This was no problem for our group since we were 5 couples and didn't need the 6th bedroom. The kitchen is very well appointed (the owners live here when it's not rented) and they leave a lot of supplies like spices and zip locks, etc, which is great for weekenders. We cooked one night at the house, used the grill and it all went very well. We managed to all get around the dining room table too. It was a bit cozy but doable. For hanging out, the family room really can't accommodate the number of people the house is able to sleep but we spread ourselves between the family room and dining room inside and on the patio in the back so it was fine for us. We used the hot tub and also gathered around the outdoor fire table in the early evenings and really enjoyed it. The back patio is a bit rough around the edges (dining table is wood and not in great shape, pool was not heated for use but was a bit dirty, there is a lot of "stuff" stored haphazardly on the side of the house and visible from the fire table). The home definitely feels like someone's home - lots of family pictures, toys and books in some closets, etc. We believe the owner stayed in the garage while we were there which was a little disquieting, but we needed a couple of things while we were there and he was quick to drop off the items in a basket by the front door so that is the plus side of that. There is a noise ordinance and the owners were very clear and specific about it so we made sure to follow their guidelines and had no trouble. Overall, the house was functional and clean, the owner was responsive and the proximity to Sonoma square was a plus. Just to be clear, however, this is not a polished, high end property.

Disappointed
Myself and 10 women stayed here for three nights at the end of September. Let me say that the home served it's purpose, but we were very disappointed and feel that I need to share our experience. Here are the problems we had with the home during our stay: - On the day of our arrival I received an email from the Tom, the owner, letting me know that he'd be working on a dining room table in the garage during our stay. This was unexpected because, to our knowledge, we had paid to rent the entire home for our stay (it's an attached garage). - Upon entering we could immediately smell animals. I double checked and found that the listing does state that there is a dog that stays there when the home is not being rented. I'm fairly confident that was added after our reservation was made (not positive though). I think the main contributor of the odor was the two fish tanks...one in the family room and another in a bedroom. - An empty (used) wine glass was found in one of the bedrooms. - Two of the bedroom closets had dirty clothes in them. Kind of gross to find that. The home is clearly occupied while not being rented. In fact, Tom showed up (unexpectedly) on our first morning there. He was there to make sure the lights on the fish tank were turned off. While there, he apologized that his daughter had let herself into the home the day before because she didn't know that they were staying somewhere else for the weekend. - Also on our second day, looking for chairs for pool and we opened a gate in the backyard. The dog, the one who "occupies the house when it's not being rented," was there! She had water and was obviously well cared for...but she wasn't supposed to be there. One of the ladies has allergies to dogs, so that was a bummer. - To top THAT, when putting the dog back in the side "yard" (it's actually just concrete) we found that the third car garage is not really a garage at all...but a studio apartment. The owner was actually STAYING there. Not happy about that at all, and actually found it kind of creepy. It needs to be disclosed that he's staying there. Had he done that, we most likely would have passed on the home. - The pool doesn't really have any lounging chairs so we didn't utilize it at all. There's a table with chairs and a fire pit with a seating area. Those were both worn and could use replacing or refinishing. Overall, it was just an unsettling stay.

Convenient yet quiet location
It was a great place to call home for our family gathering in Sonoma. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. The backyard has plenty of seating options and we made the most of the swimming pool. Overall it was lots of fun.

Beautiful home to gather with a group of 9 in Sonoma. Lovely home, very well stocked kitchen, friendly/inviting backyard. Plenty of rooms to accommodate everyone. The host was so friendly and accommodating. Spent more time hanging at home than expected, since it was so lovely and homey.
